Imam Sajjad (peace be upon him) — Supplication of the Day of Eid al-Fitr: ... after mentioning the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) and some of his qualities, so every witness of an oath that You brought in Your Book and made the Quran its companion is his name, and that is an honour with which You honoured him. And in the opening of most of the Surahs of the Quran You said: الر، این کتابی است که آیاتش استحکام یافته [Alif Lam Ra. This is a Book whose verses are firmly established] (Hud/1), and الر، [این] کتابی است که بر تو نازل کردیم [Alif Lam Ra. This is a Book which We have sent down to you] (Ibrahim/1), and الر، آن آیات کتاب آشکار است [Alif Lam Ra. These are the verses of the clear Book] (Yusuf/1), and that is the Book of grandeur in which there is no doubt (Baqarah/1-2). And in other verses of the Surahs of Tawasin and Hawamim, in all of these it is with an oath which is the name of the one whom You singled out for Your revelation, and with whom You deposited the secrets of Your unseen.
