سورة النمل

The Prophet (peace be upon him and his family): Surah Ta-Ha and the Tawasin (surahs beginning with Ta-Sin) from the tablets of Musa (peace be upon him) [which were revealed to him from the heavens and are known as the Tawrat] have been given to me.

The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family): Whoever recites this surah, for him will be written good deeds equal to ten times the number of those who believed in Sulayman (peace be upon him) and those who denied Hud, Salih, and Ibrahim (peace be upon them), and on the Day of Judgement he will rise from his grave saying لَا إِلهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ [There is no god but Allah]. And whoever writes it on the skin of a deer and places it in his house, never will a snake, scorpion, worm, mouse, rabid dog, wolf, or anything that could harm him come near that house.

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him): Whoever, in a night, writes it on the skin of a deer and places it inside a complete tanned skin and puts it in a chest, by the permission of Allah the Exalted no snake, scorpion, mosquito, or anything that would harm him will come near that house.

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him): Whoever recites the three Tawasin surahs (the surahs of al-Shu'ara, al-Naml and al-Qasas, which begin with Ta Sin) on the night of Friday is counted among the friends of Allah and is under the shelter and shade of Allah's kindness and mercy, and never in this world will he suffer poverty or hardship, and in the hereafter he will be given so much of Paradise that he will be pleased, and even more than that will be given to him, and Allah will marry him to a hundred wives from the wide-eyed houris.

Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him): Whoever recites the three Tawasin surahs on the night of Friday is counted among the friends of Allah and is under the shelter and shade of Allah's kindness and mercy, and Allah will lodge him in the everlasting Paradise, in the middle of it, together with the prophets, the messengers, and the rightly-guided successors (peace be upon them) …
