Ibn Abbas: "On the Day when Allah will not disgrace the Prophet" (Tahrim/8) — meaning Allah will not punish Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family). "And those who believed with him" (Tahrim/8) — meaning He will not punish Ali ibn Abi Talib, Fatima, Hasan, Husayn, Hamza and Ja'far (peace be upon them). Meanwhile their light is moving; it lights up the Sirat for Ali and Fatima (peace be upon them) seventy times more brightly than the world. Their light hastens before them and to their right, and they follow it. So first the Ahl al-Bayt pass over the Sirat like swift, sharp lightning. Then a group passes over it like the wind, then a group with the speed of a running horse, then a group with the speed of a running man, then a group at walking pace, then a group at the speed of a child crawling on all fours, then a group at the speed of dragging themselves along. Allah makes it wide and spacious for the Muslims, and narrow for the sinners. Allah the Glorified says: they say: "Our Lord! Complete our light for us" (Tahrim/8) — so that by it we may pass over the Sirat. Amir al-Mu'minin (peace be upon him) passes over it upon a howdah of green emerald, and with him Fatima (peace be upon her) passes upon a steed of red ruby, around whom are seventy thousand heavenly houris shining like flashing lightning.
