سورة الأعلى
Al A'la
امّا بدبخت‌ترين افراد از آن دوري مي‌گزيند.
And the most unfortunate one will avoid it,
અને તેનાથી કમનસીબ અલગ થઇ જશે:
همان كسي كه در آتش عظيم [دوزخ] وارد مي‌شود.
Who shall enter the great fire;
જે ઘણી મોટી આગમાં જશે.
سپس در آن آتش نه مي‌ميرد و نه زنده مي‌شود.
Then therein he shall neither live nor die.
પછી ન તેમાં તેને મૌત આવશે ન તે જીવતો રહેશે.
به يقين كسي كه خود را پاكيزه ساخت، رستگار شد.
He indeed shall be successful who purifies himself,
બેશક જે પોતાને પાકીઝા રાખશે તે સફળ થશે :
و [آن كس كه] نام پروردگارش را ياد كرد و نماز خواند.
And magnifies the name of his Lord and prays.
અને જેણે પોતાના પરવરદિગારના નામનો ઝિક્ર કર્યો તથા નમાઝ પઢી.
ولي شما زندگي دنيا را مقدّم مي‌داريد.
Nay! you prefer the life of this world,
પરંતુ તમે દુનિયાના જીવનને અગ્રતા આપો છો:
در‌حالي‌كه آخرت بهتر و پايدارتر است.
While the hereafter is better and more lasting.
જોકે આખેરત બહેતર અને વધુ બાકી રહેનારી છે.
اين [دستورها] در كتب آسماني پيشين [نيز] آمده است.
Most surely this is in the earlier scriptures,
બેશક આ વસ્તુ અગાઉની કિતાબોમાં પણ છે:
در كتب ابراهيم و موسي.
The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa.
ઇબ્રાહીમ તથા મૂસાના સહીફાઓમાં.
