لَمَّا تَوَجَّهَ نَحْوَ النَّارِ فَإِذَا النَّارُ فِی شَجَرَهًِْ عَنَّابٍ فَوَقَفَ مُتَعَجِّباً مِنْ حُسْنِ ضَوْءِ تِلْکَ النَّارِ وَ شِدَّهًِْ خُضْرَهًِْ تِلْکَ الشَّجَرَهًِْ فَسَمِعَ النِّدَاءَ مِنَ الشَّجَرَهًِْ یَا مُوسَی إِنِّی أَنَا رَبُّکَ.
ابن‌عبّاس ( هنگامی‌که به آتش نگریست متوجّه شد که آتش در درخت انگور است. از زیبایی نور آتش و شدّت سبزی درخت تعجّب کرد. دراین‌هنگام این نداء را از درخت شنید: ای موسی من پروردگار توام. ( طه/۱۲ ).
Ibn Abbas (may Allah have mercy on him): When he looked at the fire, he noticed that the fire was in a grape tree. He was amazed at the beauty of the light of the fire and the intense greenness of the tree. At that moment he heard this call from the tree: "O Musa, indeed I am your Lord." (Ta Ha/12).
ઇબ્ને અબ્બાસ (રહમતુલ્લાહિ અલયહિ): જ્યારે તેમણે આગ તરફ જોયું, ત્યારે તેમને ખ્યાલ આવ્યો કે આગ દ્રાક્ષના વૃક્ષમાં છે. તે આગના પ્રકાશની સુંદરતા અને વૃક્ષની તીવ્ર હરિયાળીથી આશ્ચર્યચકિત થયા. તે વખતે તેમણે વૃક્ષમાંથી આ અવાજ સાંભળ્યો: "હે મૂસા, ખરેખર હું જ તમારો પરવરદિગાર છું." (સૂરએ તાહા/૧૨).
