وَ کَأَیِّنْ مِنْ قَرْیَةٍ الْآیَهًَْ قَالَ إِنَّ الَّذِینَ أَهْلَکْنَاهُمْ مِنَ الْأُمَمِ السَّالِفَهًِْ کَانُوا أَشَدَّ قُوَّةً مِنْ قَرْیَتِکَ یَعْنِی أَهْلَ مَکَّهًَْ الَّذِینَ أَخْرَجُوکَ مِنْهَا فَلَمْ یَکُنْ لَهُمْ نَاصِرٌ.
علیّ‌بن‌ابراهیم (رحمة الله علیه)- وَ کَأَیِّنْ مِنْ قَرْیَةٍ هِیَ أَشَدَّ قُوَّةً مِنْ قَرْیَتِکَ یعنی آن امّت‌های پیشین که آن‌ها را نابود کردیم از قوم تو یعنی ساکنان مکّه که تو را از شهرشان بیرون راندند، نیرومندتر بودند. کسی هم به یاری آن اقوام نشتافت.
Ali ibn Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him): وَ کَأَیِّنْ مِنْ قَرْیَةٍ هِیَ أَشَدَّ قُوَّةً مِنْ قَرْیَتِکَ [And how many a town which was far more powerful than the town of yours] — meaning those former communities whom We destroyed were more powerful than your people, that is, the inhabitants of Mecca who drove you out of their city. And no one hastened to the aid of those communities.
અલી બિન ઇબ્રાહીમ (રહમતુલ્લાહિ અલયહિ): وَ کَأَیِّنْ مِنْ قَرْیَةٍ هِیَ أَشَدَّ قُوَّةً مِنْ قَرْیَتِکَ [અને કેટલી બસ્તીઓ એવી હતી જે તમારી બસ્તી કરતાં વધુ શક્તિશાળી હતી] — એટલે કે તે પહેલાંની ઉમ્મતો જેમને અમે નષ્ટ કરી નાખી, તે તમારી કૌમ એટલે કે મક્કાના રહેવાસીઓ કરતાં, જેઓએ તમને તેમના શહેરમાંથી કાઢી મૂક્યા, વધુ શક્તિશાળી હતી. અને કોઈ પણ તે કૌમોની મદદ માટે દોડી આવ્યું નહીં.
