Al Qalam
[و فريادشان بلند شد] گفتند: «واى بر ما كه طغيانگر بوديم!
Said they: O woe to us! surely we were inordinate:
અને કહ્યુ કે હાય અફસોસ અમારા પર! ખરેખર આપણે સરકશ હતા.
اميدواريم پروردگارمان [مارا ببخشد و] بهتر ازآن به‌جاى آن به ما بدهد، چرا كه ما به‌سوى پروردگارمان روى آورديم».
Maybe, our Lord will give us instead one better than it; surely to our Lord do we make our humble petition.
ઊમ્મીદ છે કે આપણો પરવરદિગાર તેના કરતાંય બહેતર આપે, કારણકે આપણે આપણા પરવરદિગાર તરફ રજૂ થનારા છીએ.
اين‌گونه است عذاب [خداوند در دنيا]، و عذاب آخرت از آن بزرگ‌تر است اگر مى‌دانستند.
Such is the chastisement, and certainly the chastisement of the hereafter is greater, did they but know!
અઝાબ આવો હોય છે; અને આખેરતનો અઝાબ તેનાથી મોટો છે, અગર તેઓ જાણતા હોત તો.
به‌يقين براى پرهيزگاران نزد پروردگارشان باغ‌هاى پرنعمت بهشتى است.
Surely those who guard (against evil) shall have with their Lord gardens of bliss.
બેશક પરહેઝગારો માટે તેમના પરવરદિગાર પાસે નેઅમતોવાળી જન્નતો છે.
آيا مؤمنان را همچون مجرمان قرار دهيم؟!
What! shall We then make (that is, treat) those who submit as the guilty?
શું અમે ફરમાબરદારોને ગુનેહગારો જેમ રાખશું?
شما را چه مى‌شود؟! چگونه داورى مى‌كنيد؟!
What has happened to you? How do you judge?
તમને શું થઇ ગયું છે ? તમે કેવો ફેસલો કરો છો ?
آيا كتابى داريد كه از آن درس مى‌گيريد.
Or have you a book wherein you read,
અથવા શું તમારી પાસે કોઇ કિતાબ છે કે જેમાંથી તમે શીખો છો:
كه در آن آمده است هرچه را بخواهيد مى‌توانيد انتخاب كنيد؟!
That you have surely therein what you choose?
તેમાં જે કાંઇ પસંદ કરશો તે તમારા માટે હશે.
يا اينكه عهد مستمرى تا روز قيامت بر ما داريد كه هرچه را حكم كنيد براى شما باشد؟!
Or have you received from Us an agreement confirmed by an oathextending to the day of resurrection that you shall surely have what you demand?
અથવા શું તમોએ અમારી પાસેથી કયામત સુધીનુ વચન લીધુ છે કે જે કાંઇ તમે હુકમ કરશો તે તમારા માટે હોય.
از آن‌ها بپرس كدامشان چنين چيزى را تضمين مى‌كند؟!
Ask them which of them will vouch for that,
તેમને પૂછ કે આ બધી વસ્તુઓનો જામીન કોણ છે ?
