Imam al-Rida (peace be upon him): Ali ibn Muhammad al-Jahm said to the Imam (peace be upon him), "O son of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family)! Do you hold to the infallibility of the prophets (peace be upon them)?" He said, "Yes." He said, "Then what do you do with these verses: [Yes,] وَ عَصی آدَمُ رَبَّهُ فَغَوی [And Adam disobeyed his Lord, so he was deprived of His reward!] (Ta-Ha/121), and وَ ذَا النُّونِ إِذْ ذَهَبَ مُغاضِباً فَظَنَّ أَنْ لَنْ نَقْدِرَ عَلَیْهِ [And [remember] Dhul-Nun (Yunus) when he departed in anger [from among his people] and thought that We would not straiten him — but when he was swallowed by the great fish, in those [layered] darknesses he called out: "(O Allah!) There is no god but You! Glory be to You! Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers!"] (al-Anbiya/87)?" He said, "Concerning the verse وَ ذَا النُّونِ إِذْ ذَهَبَ مُغاضِباً فَظَنَّ أَنْ لَنْ نَقْدِرَ عَلَیْهِ, it must be said that Yunus (peace be upon him) thought that Allah would never straiten his provision. Have you not heard this verse in which Allah has said: وَ أَمَّا إِذا مَا ابْتَلاهُ فَقَدَرَ عَلَیْهِ [But when He tries him and straitens to him his provision] — that is, He straitened it for him. And if Yunus had thought that Allah had no power over him, he would certainly have disbelieved."
