سورة التوبة
At Tawba
اين، [اعلام] بيزارى از سوى خدا و پيامبر او به كسانى از مشركان است كه با آن‌ها پيمان بسته‌ايد!
(This is a declaration of) immunity by Allah and His Apostle towards those of the idolaters with whom you made an agreement.
જે મુશરિકો સાથે તમે (સુલેહ)નો કરાર કર્યો હતો તેનાથી અલ્લાહ અને તેનો રસૂલ બેઝારીનુ એલાન કરે છે.
[شما اى مشركان]! چهارماه [مهلت داريد آزادانه] در زمين رفت‌و‌آمد كنيد [و بينديشيد] و بدانيد شما نمى‌توانيد از قدرت خدا فرار كنيد. [و بدانيد] خداوند خواركننده‌ی كافران است!
So go about in the land for four months and know that you cannot weaken Allah and that Allah will bring disgrace to the unbelievers.
માટે ચારે મહિના (દરમિયાન) ઝમીનમાં હરો ફરો અને સમજી લો કે તમે અલ્લાહને લાચાર કરી શકશો નહી (મતલબ કે તેનાથી બચી નહી શકો) અને અલ્લાહ નાસ્તિકોને ઝલીલ કરનારો છે.
و اين، اعلامى ست از ناحيه‌ی خدا و پيامبرش به [عموم] مردم در روز حجّ اكبر (روز عيد قربان) كه خداوند و پيامبرش از مشركان بيزارند! بااين‌حال، اگر توبه كنيد براى شما بهتر است! و اگر سرپيچى نماييد، بدانيد كه شما نمى‌توانيد از قلمرو قدرت خداوند خارج شويد. و كافران را به مجازات دردناكى بشارت ده!
And an announcement from Allah and His Apostle to the people on the day of the greater pilgrimage that Allah and His Apostle are free from liability to the idolaters; therefore if you repent, it will be better for you, and if you turn back, then know that you will not weaken Allah; and announce painful punishment to those who disbelieve.
અને અલ્લાહ તથા તેના રસૂલ તરફથી હજ્જે અકબરના દિવસે લોકો માટે એલાન છે* કે અલ્લાહ અને તેના રસૂલ મુશરિકોથી બેઝાર છે; પછી અગર તમે તૌબા કરી લો તો તમારા માટે બેહતર છે, અને અગર ફરી જશો તો સમજી લો કે તમે અલ્લાહને લાચાર કરી શકનારા નથી; અને તું નાસ્તિકોને દર્દનાક અઝાબની ખુશખબર આપી દે:
مگر كسانى از مشركان كه با آن‌ها پيمان بستيد، و چيزى از آن را در حقّ شما فروگذار نكردند، و هيچ‌كس را بر ضدّ شما تقويت ننمودند، پيمان آن‌ها را در حقِ آنان تا پايان مدّتشان محترم بشمريد، زيرا خداوند پرهيزگاران را دوست دارد.
Except those of the idolaters with whom you made an agreement, then they have not failed you in anything and have not backed up any one against you, so fulfill their agreement to the end of their term; surely Allah loves those who are careful (of their duty).
સિવાય તે મુશરિકો કે જેમની સાથે તમે કરાર કર્યા હતા; પછી તેમણે તમારી સાથે (કરેલ કરારમાં) કાંઇ કમી કરી નથી; તેમજ તમારી ખિલાફ કોઇને મદદ પણ આપી નથી તો પછી તેમનો કરાર તેની મુદ્દત સુધી પૂરો કરો; બેશક અલ્લાહ પરહેઝગારોને દોસ્ત રાખે છે.
و هنگامى‌كه ماه‌هاى حرام پايان گرفت، مشركان را هرجا يافتيد به قتل برسانيد و آن‌ها را اسير سازيد و محاصره كنيد و در هر كمين‌گاه، بر سر راه آن‌ها بنشينيد. ولى اگر توبه كنند، و نماز را برپا دارند، و زكات را بپردازند، آن‌ها را رها سازيد زيرا خداوند آمرزنده و مهربان است.
So when the sacred months have passed away, then slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them captives and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush, then if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, leave their way free to them; surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
પછી જ્યારે હુરમતવાળા (મજકુર ચાર) મહિના પૂરા થઇ જાય ત્યારે મુશરિકો જ્યાં પણ મળી આવે ત્યાં તેમને કત્લ કરી નાખજો, અને તેમને પકડી કૈદ કરી લેજો, અને તેમને ઘેરી લેજો, અને દરેક સંતાઇ રહેવાની જગ્યાએ તેમની તાકમાં રહેજો; પછી જો તેઓ તૌબા કરે અને નમાઝ કાયમ કરે તથા ઝકાત આપે તો તેમને છોડી દેજો; કારણકે અલ્લાહ ગફુરૂર રહીમ છે.
و اگر كسى از مشركان از تو پناه بخواهد، به او پناه ده تا سخن خدا را بشنود [و در آن بينديشد] سپس او را به محلّ امنش برسان، چرا كه آن‌ها گروهى ناآگاهند.
And if one of the idolaters seek protection from you, grant him protection till he hears the word of Allah, then make him attain his place of safety; this is because they are a people who do not know.
અને મુશરિકોમાંથી અગર કોઇ તારી પનાહ માંગે તો તેને પનાહ આપ જેથી તે અલ્લાહનો કલામ સાંભળે, પછી તેને તેની સલામતીની જગ્યાએ પહોંચાડી દો; આ એ માટે કે તેઓ એવા લોકો છે કે જેઓ જાણતા નથી.
چگونه براى مشركان پيمانى نزد خدا و پيامبرش خواهد بود [درحالى‌كه آن‌ها همواره آماده‌ی شكستن پيمانشان هستند]؟! مگر كسانى كه نزد مسجدالحرام با آنان پيمان بستيد [و پيمان خود را محترم شمردند] تا زمانى‌كه به پيمان شما پايبند باشند، شما نيز به پيمان آن‌ها پايبند باشيد، كه خداوند پرهيزگاران را دوست دارد.
How can there be an agreement for the idolaters with Allah and with His Apostle; except those with whom you made an agreement at the Sacred Mosque? So as long as they are true to you, be true to them; surely Allah loves those who are careful (of their duty).
અલ્લાહ અને તેના રસૂલના શિરે મુશરિકોનો કોઇ અહદો પયમાન (વાયદો) કેવી રીતે (બાકી) હોય શકે? સિવાય કે જેમની સાથે તમોએ મસ્જિદુલ હરામ પાસે કરાર કર્યો જેથી જ્યાં સુધી તેઓ તમારી સાથે તેના (કરાર) પર કાયમ રહે ત્યાં સુધી તમે પણ તેમની સાથે તેના (કરાર) પર કાયમ રહો; બેશક અલ્લાહ પરહેઝગારોને દોસ્ત રાખે છે.
چگونه [پيمان مشركان ارزش دارد]، درحالى‌كه اگر بر شما غالب شوند، نه رعايت خويشاوندى با شما را مى‌كنند، و نه پيمان را؟! شما را با زبان خود خشنود مى‌كنند، ولى دل‌هايشان ابا دارد و بيشتر آن‌ها گنهكارند.
How (can it be)! while if they prevail against you, they would not pay regard in your case to ties of relationship, nor those of covenant; they please you with their mouths while their hearts do not consent; and most of them are transgressors.
તે કેવી રીતે (તેઓના કરાર પર બાકી હોય શકે) જ્યારે કે જો તેઓ તમારા પર કાબૂ મેળવી લે તો ન તેઓ તમારા સબંધમાં સગપણનો વિચાર કરે ન કોલ કરારનો; તેઓ (માત્ર) મોંઢા (ઝબાન)થી તમને રાઝી કરે છે, પરંતુ તેમના દિલો ઇન્કાર કરે છે, અને તેઓમાંના ઘણાખરા ફાસીકો છે.
آن‌ها آيات خدا را به بهاى كمى فروختند و [مردم را] از راه او بازداشتند، آن‌ها چه بد اعمالى انجام مى‌دادند!
They have taken a small price for the communications of Allah, so they turn away from His way; surely evil is it that they do.
તેમણે અલ્લાહની આયતોને નજીવી કિંમતે વેચી નાખી છે જેથી તેઓ અલ્લાહની રાહથી અટકાવે; બેશક જે તેઓ કરી રહ્યા છે તે ઘણું જ ખરાબ છે.
[اين روش آن‌هاست كه] درباره‌ی هيچ فرد باايمانى رعايت خويشاوندى و پيمان را نمى‌كنند و آن‌ها همان تجاوزكارانند!
They do not pay regard to ties of relationship nor those of covenant in the case of a believer; and these are they who go beyond the limits.
તેઓ મોઅમીનના વિશે કોઇ સગપણ અને કરારની જવાબદારીનું ઘ્યાન રાખતા નથી; અને તેઓજ હદ બહાર જનારાઓ છે.
