سورة الحجر
Al Hijr
گفت: «اگر مىخواهيد كار صحيحى انجام دهيد، اين دختران من حاضرند [با آنها ازدواج كنيد؛ و از گناه بپرهيزيد»! ولى آنها نپذيرفتند].
He said: These are my daughters, if you will do (aught).
તેણે કહ્યું કે અગર તમારે કાંઇ કરવું જ છે તો આ મારી દુખ્તરો (શાદી માટે હાજર) છે.
[اى پيامبر]! به جان تو سوگند، اينها در مستى خود سرگردانند [و عقل و شعور خود را از دست دادهاند]!
By your life! they were blindly wandering on in their intoxication.
(અય મોહમ્મદ સ.અ.વ.) તારા જાનની કસમ! બેશક તેઓ પોતાના નશામાં આંધળા બની ભટકી રહ્યા હતા.
سرانجام هنگام طلوع آفتاب، صيحهی [مرگبار] آنها را فرا گرفت!
So the rumbling overtook them (while) entering upon the time of sunrise;
પછી સવાર થતાં થતાં તેમને એક (ખતરનાક) ગર્જનાએ પકડી લીધા:
سپس شهرهاى آنها را زيرورو كرديم و بارانى از سنگ بهصورت گلهاى متحجّر بر آنها فرو ريختيم!
Thus did We turn it upside down, and rained down upon them stones of what had been decreed.
પછી અમોએ તેને ઉથલાવી નાખ્યા, અને તેમના ઉપર અમોએ માટીના ઢેંફા વરસાવ્યા.
در اين [سرگذشت عبرت انگيز]، نشانههايى است براى هوشياران.
Surely in this are signs for those who examine.
બેશક હોંશિયારો માટે આમાં નિશાનીઓ છે.
و آن [سرزمين ويران] همواره، بر سر راه [كاروانها] است.
And surely it is on a road that still abides.
અને બેશક તે (શહેર કાફલાઓના) રસ્તા ઉપર છે.
در اين، نشانهاى است براى مؤمنان!
Most surely there is a sign in this for the believers.
બેશક આમાં મોમીનો માટે એક નિશાની છે.
اصحاب«ايكه» (قوم شعيب، صاحبان سرزمينهاى پر درخت) بهيقين قوم ستمكارى بودند.
And the dwellers of the thicket also were most surely unjust.
અને અસ્હાબુલ અયકહ (હ. શોયઅબની કૌમ) પણ ખરેખર ઝાલિમો હતા:
ما آنان را مجازات كرديم؛ و [شهرهاى ويرانشده] اين دو (قوم لوط و شعيب) بر سر راه آشكار است!
So We inflicted retribution on them, and they are both, indeed, on an open road (still) pursued.
જેથી અમોએ તેમનાથી ઇન્તેકામ લીધો, અને બેશક તેઓ બન્ને એક રોશન રસ્તા પર આવેલ છે.
و «اصحاب حجر» (قوم ثمود) پيامبران را تكذيب كردند.
And the dwellers of the Rock certainly rejected the apostles;
અને ખરેજ અસ્હાબે હજરે (હ. સાલેહની કૌમે) રસૂલોને જૂઠલાવ્યા હતા:
