الصّادق ( ثَلَاثٌ مَنْ کُنَّ فِیهِ کُنَّ عَلَیْهِ الْمَکْرُ وَ النَّکْثُ وَ الْبَغْیُ وَ ذَلِکَ قَوْلُ اللَّهِ وَ لا یَحِیقُ الْمَکْرُ السَّیِّئُ إِلَّا بِأَهْلِهِ فَانْظُرْ کَیْفَ کانَ عاقِبَةُ مَکْرِهِمْ أَنَّا دَمَّرْناهُمْ وَ قَوْمَهُمْ أَجْمَعِینَ وَ قَالَ جَلَّ وَ عَزَّ فَمَنْ نَکَثَ فَإِنَّما یَنْکُثُ عَلی نَفْسِه.
امام صادق ( سه چیز در هرکس باشد به ضرر اوست: مکر، پیمان‌شکنی، ستم. و این‌ها به دلیل فرموده خدا است: بنگر عاقبت توطئه آنها چه شد، که ما آنها و قومشان همگی را نابود کردیم ( نمل/۵۱ ) و فرموده: پس هرکس پیمان‌شکنی کند، تنها به زیان خود پیمان شکسته است. ( فتح/۱۰ ) و نیز فرموده است: ای مردم! ستمهای شما، به زیان خود شماست! ( یونس/۲۳ ).
Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him): Three things, whoever has them in himself, they are to his own detriment: deceit, breaking of covenants, and oppression. And this is because of the word of Allah: "Look, then, what was the end of their plotting, for We destroyed them and their people, all together" (Naml/51), and His word: "So whoever breaks his covenant, only breaks it to the harm of his own self" (Fath/10), and He has also said: "O people! Your oppressions are only against your own selves!" (Yunus/23).
ઇમામ સાદિક (અલયહિસ્સલામ): ત્રણ વસ્તુઓ જે વ્યક્તિમાં હોય તે તેના જ નુકસાનમાં હોય છે: મક્ર (કપટ), વચનભંગ, અને ઝુલ્મ. અને આ અલ્લાહના કથનને કારણે છે: "જુઓ, તેમના ષડયંત્રનું પરિણામ શું આવ્યું, કે અમે તેમને અને તેમની કૌમને સૌને નષ્ટ કરી દીધા" (નમ્લ/૫૧), અને ફરમાવ્યું: "તો જે વ્યક્તિ વચનભંગ કરે છે, તે ફક્ત પોતાના જ નુકસાનમાં વચનભંગ કરે છે" (ફત્હ/૧૦), અને એમ પણ ફરમાવ્યું છે: "ઓ લોકો! તમારા ઝુલ્મ, તમારા પોતાના જ નુકસાનમાં છે!" (યૂનુસ/૨૩).
