عَنِ النَّبِیِّ (صلی الله علیه و آله) قَالَ لِأُمِّ سَلَمَهًَْ: هُنَّ اللَّوَاتِی قُبِضْنَ فِی دَارِ الدُّنْیَا عَجَائِزَ شَمْطَاءَ رَمْصَاءَ جَعَلَهُنَّ اللَّهُ بَعْدَ الْکِبَرِ أَتْرَاباً عَلَی مِیلَادٍ وَاحِدٍ فِی الِاسْتِوَاءِ، کُلَّمَا أَتَاهُنَّ أَزْوَاجُهُنَّ وَجَدُوهُنَّ أَبْکاراً.
پیامبر (صلی الله علیه و آله)- از پیامبر (صلی الله علیه و آله) [درباره‌ی این آیه نقل شده است که] به امّ سلمه فرمود: «آن‌ها زنانی هستند که در دنیا در سنّ پیری درحالی‌که موی سرشان سیاه و سفید شده و از چشمانشان چرک بیرون می‌آید قبض روح شده‌اند. خداوند آن‌ها را بعد از پیری هم‌سن‌وسال قرار داد و در هم‌سن‌وسال بودن [چنان به هم نزدیکند که گویا] در یک زمان متولّد شده‌اند. هرزمان همسرانشان نزد آن‌ها می‌آیند، آن‌ها را دوشیزه می‌یابند.
The Prophet (peace be upon him and his family): It is narrated from the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) [concerning this verse] that he said to Umm Salama: "They are women whose souls were taken in this world in old age, while the hair of their heads had turned black and white and discharge came from their eyes. Allah, after their old age, made them equal in age, and in being of the same age [they are so alike that it is as if] they were born at one time. Whenever their husbands come to them, they find them virgins."
પયગંબર (સલ્લલ્લાહો અલયહે વ આલેહી વસલ્લમ): પયગંબર (સલ્લલ્લાહો અલયહે વ આલેહી વસલ્લમ)થી [આ આયત વિશે નકલ થયું છે કે] આપે ઉમ્મે સલમાને ફરમાવ્યું: "તેઓ એવી સ્ત્રીઓ છે જેમની રૂહ દુનિયામાં વૃદ્ધાવસ્થામાં કબ્જ થઈ, જ્યારે તેમના માથાના વાળ કાળા-સફેદ થઈ ગયા હતા અને તેમની આંખોમાંથી ચીપડ નીકળતું હતું. અલ્લાહે તેમને વૃદ્ધાવસ્થા પછી સમાન ઉંમરના બનાવ્યા, અને સમાન ઉંમરના હોવામાં [એટલા સમાન છે કે જાણે] એક જ સમયે જન્મ્યા હોય. જ્યારે પણ તેમના પતિઓ તેમની પાસે આવે, તેઓ તેમને દોશીઝા (કુમારિકા) મેળવે છે."
