سورة الشعراء
Ash Shu'ara
و فرمان مسرفان را اطاعت نكنيد.
And do not obey the bidding of the extravagant,
અને ઇસરાફ કરનારાઓના હૂકમની ઇતાઅત ન કરો :
همان كسانى كه در زمين فساد مى‌كنند و اصلاح نمى‌كنند.
Who make mischief in the land and do not act aright.
કે જેઓ ઝમીનમાં ફસાદ કરે છે અને ઇસ્લાહ કરતા નથી.
They said: You are only of the deluded ones;
તેમણે કહ્યું: જરૂર તારા ઉપર જાદુ કરવામાં આવ્યો છે.
تو فقط بشرى همچون مايى؛ اگر راست مى‌گويى معجزه و نشانه‌اى بياور!
You are naught but a mortal like ourselves; so bring a sign if you are one of the truthful.
તું અમારા જેવો એક ઇન્સાન છો, જો તું સાચો હોય તો કોઇ નિશાની લઇ આવ.
گفت: اين ناقه‌اى است كه [معجزه‌ی الهى است] براى او سهمى از آب [قريه]، و براى شما سهم روز معيّنى است.
He said: This is a she-camel; she shall have her portion of water, and you have your portion of water on an appointed time;
(સાલેહે) કહ્યું કે આ એક ઊંટણી છે, પાણીનો એક હિસ્સો આના માટે છે અને એક મુકર્રર દિવસે પાણીનો હિસ્સો તમારા માટે છે.
هيچ‌گونه آزارى به آن نرسانيد، كه عذاب روزى بزرگ شما را فرا خواهد گرفت!
And do not touch her withevil, lest the punishment of a grievous day should overtake you.
અને તેને કંઇપણ ઇજા પહોંચાડવાના હેતુથી અડશો નહિ, નહિતર તમને એક મહાન દિવસનો અઝાબ પકડી લેશે.
سرانجام [بر آن ناقه حمله نموده] آن را از پاى درآوردند، سپس از كرده خود پشيمان شدند.
But they hamstrung her, then regretted;
પછી તેમણે તેના પગ કાપી નાખ્યા અને બાદમાં પસ્તાવા લાગ્યા.
و عذاب الهى آنان را فرا گرفت؛ در اين ماجرا نشانه‌ی روشنى بود؛ ولى بيشتر آنان مؤمن نبودند.
So the punishment overtook them. Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe.
પછી તેમને અઝાબે આવી પકડ્યા; અને બેશક એમાં અમારી નિશાની છે પરંતુ તેઓમાંથી ઘણાંખરા ઇમાન લાવનાર ન હતા.
و پروردگار تو توانا و مهربان است.
And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful.
અને બેશક તારો પરવરદિગાર એ જ છે જે જબરદસ્ત અને રહીમ છે.
قوم لوط [نيز] پيامبران را تكذيب كردند.
The people of Lut gave the lie to the apostles.
અને લૂતની કોમે રસૂલોને જૂઠલાવ્યા.
