سورة الصافات
As Saffat
[آرى]، براى همانند چنين پاداشى، بايد عمل‌كنندگان عمل كنند.
For the like of this then let the workers work.
માટે આવી કામ્યાબી માટે જ અમલ કરનારાઓએ અમલ કરવા જોઈએે.
آيا اين نعمتها[ى جاويدان بهشتى] بهتر است يا درخت [نفرت انگيز] زقّوم؟!
Is this better as an entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum?
શું મહેમાનનવાજી માટે આ બહેતર છે કે ઝક્કુમ (થોર)નું વૃક્ષ?
ما آن را مايه درد و رنج ستمكاران قرارداديم.
Surely We have made it to be a trial to the unjust.
કે જેને અમોએ ઝાલિમોની સજા માટે રાખ્યુ છે.
آن درختى است كه از قعر جهنّم مى‌رويد.
Surely it is a tree that-grows in the bottom of the hell;
તે એક ઝાડ છે જે જહન્નમના તળિયામાંથી ઊગે છે:
شكوفه‌ی آن مانند سرهاى شياطين است.
Its produce is as it were the heads of the serpents.
તેનાં ફળ એવાં હશે કે જાણે શેતાનોના માથાં.
آن‌ها(مجرمان) از آن مى‌خورند و شكم‌ها را از آن پر مى‌كنند.
Then most surely they shall eat of it and fill (their) bellies with it.
પછી જહન્નમીઓ તે જ ખાશે અને તેના વડે જ પેટ ભરશે.
سپس روى آن آب‌آلوده سوزانى مى‌نوشند.
Then most surely they shall have after it to drink of a mixture prepared in boiling water.
પછી તેમને તેની ઉપર ઊકળતુ અને મિલાવટવાળુ પાણી પીવડાવવામાં આવશે.
آنگاه بازگشت آن‌ها به سوى جهنم است.
Then most surely their return shall be to hell.
પછી તેઓ સર્વેનું પાછું ફરવું જહન્નમ તરફ જ થશે.
چراكه آن‌ها پدران خود را گمراه يافته‌اند.
Surely they found their fathers going astray,
ખરેજ તેમણે તેમના બાપદાદાઓને ગુમરાહ જોયા હતા:
با اين حال بسرعت [و بدون انديشه] به دنبال آنان كشانده مى‌شوند.
So in their footsteps they are being hastened on.
છતાંપણ તેમના જ નકશે કદમ પર તેઓ ઊતાવળે દોડે છે.
