سورة التوبة
At Tawba
و از [ميان] اعرابِ باديه‌نشين كه اطراف شما هستند، جمعى منافقند و از اهل مدينه [نيز]،گروهى سخت به نفاق پاى بندند. تو آن‌ها را نمى‌شناسى، ولى ما آن‌ها را مى شناسيم. به‌زودى آن‌ها را دو بار مجازات مى‌كنيم [مجازاتى در زمان حيات ومجازاتى به هنگام مرگ]، سپس به‌سوى مجازات بزرگى [در قيامت] فرستاده مى‌شوند.
And from among those who are round about you of the dwellers of the desert there are hypocrites, and from among the people of Medina (also); they are stubborn in hypocrisy; you do not know them; We know them; We will chastise them twice then shall they be turned back to a grievous chastisement
અને તમારી આસપાસના ગામડાવાળા-ઓમાંથી મુનાફીકો છે, અને મદીનાવાળા-ઓમાંથી પણ (મુનાફીકો છે) જેઓ નિફાક ઉપર અડગ છે; તું તેમને નથી જાણતો (પરંતુ) અમે તેમને જાણીએ છીએ! અમે તેમને બે વાર અઝાબ આપીશું, પછી તેમને મહાન અઝાબ તરફ વાળવામાં આવશે.
و گروهى ديگر [مؤمنانى هستند كه] به گناهان خود اعتراف كرده‌اند و كار خوب و بد را به هم آميخته‌اند، اميد مى‌رود كه خداوند توبه‌ی آن‌ها را بپذيرد، به يقين خداوند آمرزنده و مهربان است.
And others have confessed their faults, they have mingled a good deed and an evil one; may be Allah will turn to them (mercifully); surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
અને બીજાએ પોતાના ગુનાહોની કબૂલાત કરી લીધી છે; તેમણે નેક અને બદઆમાલને ભેળવી નાખ્યા છે; ઊમ્મીદ છે કે અલ્લાહ તેમની તૌબાને કબૂલ કરશે; બેશક અલ્લાહ ગફુરૂર રહીમ છે.
از اموال آن‌ها صدقه‌اى [به‌عنوان زكات] بگير، تا به‌وسيله‌ی آن، آن‌ها را پاك سازى و پرورش دهى و [به‌هنگام گرفتن زكات] به آن‌ها دعا كن، كه دعاى تو، مايه‌ی آرامش آن‌هاست و خداوند شنوا و داناست.
Take alms out of their property, you would cleanse them and purify them thereby, and pray for them; surely your prayer is a relief to them; and Allah is Hearing, Knowing.
તેમના માલમાંથી સદકો (ઝકાત) લઇ તેમને પાક અને પાકીઝા બનાવ અને તેમના માટે દુઆ કર; બેશક તારી દુઆ તેમના માટે સુકૂનનું કારણ છે; અને અલ્લાહ સાંભળનાર, જાણનાર છે.
آيا نمى‌دانستند كه فقط خداوند توبه را از بندگانش مى‌پذيرد و صدقات را مى‌گيرد و خداوند توبه‌پذير و مهربان است؟!
Do they not know that Allah accepts repentance from His servants and takes the alms, and that Allah is the Oft-returning (to mercy), the Merciful?
શું તેઓ નથી જાણતા કે અલ્લાહ જ પોતાના બંદાઓની તૌબા કબૂલ કરે છે અને તેમના સદકાને પણ કબૂલ કરે છે? અને અલ્લાહ જ તૌબા કબૂલ કરનાર, રહેમ કરનાર છે.
بگو: «عمل كنيد! خداوند و فرستاده‌ی او و مؤمنان، اعمال شما را مى‌بينند! و به‌زودى، به‌سوى داناى نهان و آشكار، بازگردانده مى‌شويد و شما را به آنچه عمل مى‌كرديد، خبر مى‌دهد»!
And say: Work; so Allah will see your work and (so will) His Apostle and the believers; and you shall be brought back to the Knower of the unseen and the seen, then He will inform you of what you did.
અને કહે કે તમે અમલ કરો પછી અલ્લાહ તમારા અમલને જોશે અને તેના રસૂલો અને મોઅમીનો પણ (જોશે) પછી તમને છુપી અને જાહેર બાબતના જાણનારની બારગાહમાં પાછા ફેરવવામાં આવશે, અને તમે જે કાંઇ કરતા હતા તે તમને જણાવશે.
و گروهى ديگر، به فرمان خدا واگذار شده‌اند [و كارشان با خداست]؛ يا آن‌ها را مجازات مى‌كند و يا توبه‌ی آنان را مى‌پذيرد [هرطوركه شايسته باشند] و خداوند دانا و حكيم است.
And others are made to await Allah's command, whether He chastise them or whether He turn to them (mercifully), and Allah is Knowing, Wise.
અને બાકીના લોકોને અલ્લાહના હુકમની ઊમ્મીદ ઊપર મૂકી દેવામાં આવશે, ચાહે તો તે તેમને અઝાબ કરે, અથવા તો તેમની તૌબા કબૂલ કરે, અને અલ્લાહ જાણનાર, હિકમતવાળો છે.
[گروهى ديگر از منافقان] كسانى هستند كه مسجدى ساختند براى زيان‌رساندن [به اسلام] و [تقويت] كفر و تفرقه‌افكنى ميان مؤمنان و كمين‌گاهى براى كسى كه از پيش با خدا و پيامبرش مبارزه كرده بود؛ آن‌ها سوگند ياد مى‌كنند كه: «جز نيكى [و خدمت]، نظرى نداشته‌ايم». امّا خداوند گواهى مى‌دهد كه آن‌ها قطعاً دروغگو هستند.
And those who built a masjid to cause harm and for unbelief and to cause disunion among the believers and an ambush to him who made war against Allah and His Apostle before; and they will certainly swear: We did not desire aught but good; and Allah bears witness that they are most surely liars.
અને જેઓએ ઇસ્લામને નુકસાન પહોંચાડવા, નાસ્તિકપણાને મજબૂત બનાવવા, મોઅમીનો દરમ્યાન જુદાઇ નાખવા તથા અલ્લાહ અને તેના રસૂલની વિરૂઘ્ધ લડનારને પનાહ આપવા માટે મસ્જિદ બનાવી છે; અને તેઓ કસમ ખાઇને જરૂર કહેશે કે અમારો મકસદ નેકી સિવાય બીજો કાંઇ ન હતો; અને અલ્લાહ ગવાહી આપે છે કે બેશક તેઓ જૂઠા છે.
هرگز در آن [مسجد به عبادت] نايست! مسجدى كه از روز نخست برپايه‌ی تقوا بنا شده، شايسته‌تر است كه در آن [به عبادت] بايستى. در آن، مردانى هستند كه دوست مى‌دارند پاكيزه باشند و خداوند پاكيزگان را دوست دارد.
Never stand in it; certainly a masjid founded on piety from the very first day is more deserving that you should stand in it; in it are men who love that they should be purified; and Allah loves those who purify themselves.
તે મસ્જિદમાં તું કદી (નમાઝ માટે) ઊભો રહેજે નહિ! અલબત્ત તે મસ્જિદ કે જેનો પાયો પહેલા દિવસથી જ પરહેજગારી પર નાખવામાં આવ્યો હોય તેમાં તું (નમાઝ માટે) ઊભો રહે તે વધુ યોગ્ય છે; તેમાં પાકીઝા રહેવાનું પસંદ કરનાર લોકો છે અને અલ્લાહ પાકીઝા રહેનારને દોસ્ત રાખે છે.
آيا كسى كه شالوده‌ی آن را بر تقواى الهى و خشنودى او بناكرده بهتر است، يا كسى كه شالوده آن را بر كنار پرتگاه سستى بنا نموده كه ناگهان در آتش دوزخ فرو مى‌ريزد؟! و خداوند گروه ستمكاران را هدايت نمى‌كند.
Is he, therefore, better who lays his foundation on fear of Allah and (His) good pleasure, or he who lays his foundation on the edge of a cracking hollowed bank, so it broke down with him into the fire of hell; and Allah does not guide the unjust people.
શું જેણે પોતા(ના કામો)ની બુનિયાદ અલ્લાહની પરહેઝગારી અને ખુશ્નુદી પર મૂકી હોય તે બહેતર છે કે જેણે પોતા(ના કામો)ની બુનિયાદ (ગુનાહોની) જર્જરીત કિનારી ઊપર મૂકી હોય? જે તેને સાથે લઇ જહન્નમની આગમાં પડી જાય અને અલ્લાહ ઝાલિમ લોકોની હિદાયત કરતો નથી.
بنايى را كه آن‌ها ساختند، همواره به‌صورت وسيله‌ی شك و ترديد، در دل‌هايشان باقى مى‌ماند؛ مگر اينكه دل‌هايشان پاره‌پاره شود [و بميرند وگرنه، هرگز از دل آن‌ها بيرون نمى‌رود] و خداوند دانا و حكيم است.
The building which they have built will ever continue to be a source of disquiet in their hearts, except that their hearts get cut into pieces; and Allah is Knowing, Wise.
હંમેશા તે બનાવેલી ઇમારત તેઓના દિલોમાં શકનું કારણ બન્યા કરશે, સિવાય કે તેમનાં દિલોના ટૂકડે ટૂકડા થઇ જાય (અને મૌત આવી જાય); અને અલ્લાહ જાણકાર, હિકમતવાળો છે.
