سورة الأعراف
Al A'raf
[سپس به فرعون] گفتند: «او و برادرش را مهلت ده، و مأموران را براى گردآورى [ساحران] به تمام شهرها اعزام كن».
They said: Put him off and his brother, and send collectors into the cities:
તેમણે કહ્યું કે તેને તથા તેના ભાઇને (જવાબની ઉમ્મીદમાં) રોકી રાખો અને (બઘા) શહેરોમાં (જાદુગરોને) જમા કરવા મોકલ:
تا هر ساحر ماهر و دانا را به خدمت تو بياورند.
That they may bring to you every enchanter possessed of knowledge.
કે જેથી તેઓ દરેક જાણકાર જાદુગરોને તારી હજૂરમાં લઇ આવે.
ساحران نزد فرعون آمدند و گفتند: «آيا اگر ما پيروز گرديم، اجر و پاداش مهمّى خواهيم داشت»؟!
And the enchanters came to Firon (and) said: We must surely have a reward if we are the prevailing ones.
અને તે જાદુગરો ફિરઔન પાસે આવ્યા અને કહ્યું કે જો અમે કામ્યાબ થઇએ તો અમને જરૂર સારો બદલો મળશે?!
گفت: «آرى، و به‌يقين شما از مقرّبان خواهيد بود».
He said: Yes, and you shall certainly be of those who are near (to me).
તેણે કહ્યું, હા. અને બેશક તમે મુકર્રબ (નઝદિકના) બની જશો.
[و چون روز مبارزه فرا رسيد. ساحران] گفتند: «اى موسى! يا تو [وسايل سحرت را] بيفكن، يا ما مى‌افكنيم».
They said: O Musa! will you cast, or shall we be the first to cast?
તેઓએ કહ્યું, અય મૂસા! લે તું (જાદુના દાવ) ફેંકે છે કે અમે જ ફેંકનારા બનીએ?
گفت: «شما بيفكنيد». و هنگامى‌كه [وسايل سحر خود را] افكندند، مردم را چشم‌بندى كردند و ترساندند؛ و سحر عظيمى پديد آوردند.
He said: Cast. So when they cast, they deceived the people's eyes and frightened them, and they produced a mighty enchantment.
તેણે કહ્યું ફેંકો. આથી જ્યારે તેઓએ (જાદુના દાવ) ફેંક્યો ત્યારે લોકોની નજરને છેતરીને તેમને ખોફઝદા (ભયભિત) કરી મૂક્યા અને ઘણો જ મોટો જાદુ રજૂ કર્યો.
[ما] به موسى وحى كرديم كه: «عصاى خود را بيفكن». ناگهان [به‌صورت مار عظيمى در آمد و] وسايل دروغين آن‌ها را [به‌سرعت] بلعيد.
And We revealed to Musa, saying: Cast your rod; then lo! it devoured the lies they told.
અને અમોએ મૂસા તરફ વહી મોકલી કે તું તારી અસા (લાકડી) નાખી દે, જેથી તરત જ જૂઠા જાદુને ગળી ગઇ.
[در اين هنگام]، حق آشكار شد؛ و آنچه آن‌ها انجام مى‌دادند، باطل گشت.
So the truth was established, and what they did became null.
પછી હક પૂરવાર થઇ ગયું અને જે કાંઇ તેઓ કરતા હતા તે બાતિલ થઇ ગયું.
و در آنجا [همگى] مغلوب شدند؛ و خوار و حقير گشتند.
Thus they were vanquished there, and they went back abased.
જેથી તેઓ ત્યાંજ મગલૂબ થયા (હારી ગયા) અને ઝલીલ બની પાછા ફર્યા.
و ساحران بى‌اختيار به سجده افتادند.
And the enchanters were thrown down, prostrating (themselves).
અને જાદુગરો (બેઇખ્તેયાર) સજદામાં પડી ગયા.
