سورة الرعد
Ar Ra'd
براى هرکس، مأمورانى است که پى‌در‌پى، از پیش‌رو، و از پشت سر او را از فرمان خدا [حوادث غیر حتمى] حفظ مى‌کنند؛ و خداوند سرنوشت هیچ قومى [وملّتى] را تغییر نمى‌دهد مگر آنکه آنان آنچه را در [وجود] خودشان است تغییر دهند. و هنگامى‌که خدا براى قومى [به‌خاطر اعمالشان] بدى [و عذاب] بخواهد، هیچ‌چیز مانع آن نخواهد شد؛ و جز خدا، [نجات‌دهنده و] سرپرستى نخواهند داشت.
For his sake there are angels following one another, before him and behind him, who guard him by Allah's commandment; surely Allah does not change the condition of a people until they change their own condition; and when Allah intends evil to a people, there is no averting it, and besides Him they have no protector.
તેના માટે (ઇન્સાનો માટે) હિફાઝત કરનારાઓ છે જેઓ અલ્લાહની હુકમથી તેની આગળ પાછળ રહી તેની હિફાઝત કરે છે, બેશક અલ્લાહ કોઇ કોમની હાલત નથી બદલતો જ્યાં સુધી કે તેઓ પોતે પોતાની હાલત બદલે નહિ; અને અલ્લાહ જ્યારે કોઇ કોમ માટે નુકસાનનો ઇરાદો કરે છે ત્યારે તે હરગિઝ પલટાવી શકાતો નથી, અને તેના સિવાય તેમનો (ઇન્સાનોનો) કોઇ સરપરસ્ત નથી.
او کسى است که برق [و صاعقه] را به شما نشان مى‌دهد، که هم مایه‌ی بیم است و هم مایه‌ی امید؛ و ابرهاى سنگین بار ایجاد مى‌کند.
He it is Who shows you the lightning causing fear and hope and (Who) brings up the heavy cloud.
તે તમને વીજળી(ના ચમકારા) દેખાડે છે જેના (નુકસાન)થી ડરો છો અને (વરસાદની) ઊમ્મીદ રાખો છો અને (પાણીથી) ભરપૂર વાદળો લાવે છે.
و رعد، تسبیح و حمد او مى‌گوید؛ و [همچنین] فرشتگان از خوف او! و [اوست که] صاعقه‌ها را مى‌فرستد؛ و هرکس را بخواهد گرفتار آن مى‌سازد، با این حال آن‌ها [همچنان] درباره‌ی خدا به مجادله مشغولند؛ با اینکه قدرت او بى‌انتهاست.
And the thunder declares His glory with His praise, and the angels too for awe of Him; and He sends the thunderbolts and smites with them whom He pleases, yet they dispute concerning Allah, and He is mighty in prowess.
અને મેઘગર્જના તેના વખાણની તસ્બીહ કરે છે, અને ફરિશ્તાઓ તેના ડરથી (તસ્બીહ કરે છે); અને તે વીજળી(ના કડાકા) મોકલે છે, પછી જેના સુધી ચાહે તેના સુધી પહોંચાડી દે છે, છતાં તેઓ અલ્લાહના સંબંધમાં એકબીજા સાથે બહેસ કરે છે જો કે તે જબરદસ્ત સજા આપનાર છે.
دعوت حق [و دعاى مستجاب] از آن اوست؛ و کسانى را که [مشرکان] غیر از او مى‌خوانند، [هرگز] به دعوت آن‌ها پاسخ نمى‌گویند. آن‌ها همچون کسى هستند که کف‌هاى [دست] خود را به‌سوى آب مى‌گشاید تا آب به دهانش برسد، و هرگز نخواهد رسید. و دعاى کافران، جز در ضلال [و گمراهى] نیست.
To Him is due the true prayer; and those whom they pray to besides Allah give them no answer, but (they are) like one who stretches forth his two hands towards water that it may reach his mouth, but it will not reach it; and the prayer of the unbelievers is only in error.
દુઆ (કબૂલ કરવા)નો હક ફકત તેનો જ છે; અને જેઓ તેના સિવાય બીજાઓથી દુઆ માંગે છે તેઓ તેમને કાંઇજ જવાબ આપતા નથી પરંતુ તેઓ તેની જેમ છે કે જેણે પોતાના બન્ને હાથ (એવા હેતુથી) પાણી તરફ ફેલાવ્યા હોય કે તે પાણી તેના મોંઢામાં આવી જાય, પરંતુ તે પહોંચશે નહિ; અને નાસ્તિકોની દુઆ નથી સિવાય ગુમરાહી.
کسانى که در آسمان‌ها و زمین هستند از روى اختیار یا اجبار، و همچنین سایه‌هایشان، هر صبح و شام براى خدا سجده مى‌کنند.
And whoever is in the heavens and the earth makes obeisance to Allah only, willingly and unwillingly, and their shadows too at morn and eve.
અને જે કોઇ આકાશો તથા ઝમીનમાં છે તે પોતાની મરજીથી કે જબરદસ્તીથી અલ્લાહને સજદો કરે છે અને એવી જ રીતે સવાર અને સાંજના તેમના પડછાયા પણ (સજદો કરે છે).
بگو: «چه کسى پروردگار آسمان‌ها و زمین است؟» بگو: «خداوند یگانه»! [سپس] بگو: «آیا خدایانى غیر از او براى خود برگزیده‌اید که [حتى] مالک سود و زیان خود نیستند [تا چه رسد به شما]»؟! بگو: «آیانابینا و بینا یکسانند؟ یا ظلمت‌ها و نور برابرند؟! آیا آن‌ها همتایانى براى خدا قرار دادند به خاطر اینکه آنان همچون خدا آفرینشى داشتند، و این آفرینش‌ها بر آن‌ها مشتبه شده است»؟! بگو: «خدا آفرینندهی همه چیز است؛ و اوست یکتا و حاکم بر همه چیز».
Say: Who is the Lord of the heavens and the earth?-- Say: Allah. Say: Do you take then besides Him guardians who do not control any profit or harm for themselves? Say: Are the blind and the seeing alike? Or can the darkness and the light be equal? Or have they set up with Allah associates who have created creation like His, so that what is created became confused to them? Say: Allah is the Creator of all things, and He is the One, the Supreme.
કહે કે : આકાશો તથા ઝમીનનો પરવરદિગાર કોણ છે ? (તે) કહે અલ્લાહ છે તેમને સવાલ કર : શું તમોએ અલ્લાહ સિવાય એવાઓને તમારા સરપરસ્ત બનાવ્યા છે કે જેઓ પોતાના નફા-નુકસાનની સત્તા રાખતા નથી? (તેમને પૂછ) : શું આંધળા અને દેખતા સરખા છે? શું રોશની અને અંધકાર સરખા છે ? અથવા શું તેઓએ અલ્લાહના એવા શરીક બનાવ્યા છે કે જેઓએ અલ્લાહની જેમ ખલ્ક કર્યુ છે જેથી ખિલ્કત શંકાસીલ બની જાય? કહે કે (ફકત) અલ્લાહ જ દરેક વસ્તુઓનો ખાલિક છે અને તે એક અને સૌ ઉપર ગાલિબ છે.
[خداوند] از آسمان آبى فرو فرستاد؛ و از هر درّه و رودخانه‌اى به اندازه‌ی آن‌ها سیلابى جارى شد؛ سپس سیلاب بر روى خود کفى حمل کرد؛ [همچنین] و از آنچه [در کوره‌ها]، براى به دست آوردن زینت آلات یا وسایل زندگى، آتش بر آن مى‌افروزند، کف‌هایى مانند آن به وجود مى‌آید، خداوند براى، حق و باطل چنین مثالى مى‌زند، سرانجام کف‌ها به بیرون پرتاب مى‌شوند، ولى آنچه به مردم سود مى‌رساند [آب یا فلزّ خالص] در زمین مى‌ماند؛ خداوند اینچنین مثال مى‌زند.
He sends down water from the cloud, then watercourses flow (with water) according to their measure, and the torrent bears along the swelling foam, and from what they melt in the fire for the sake of making ornaments or apparatus arises a scum like it; thus does Allah compare truth and falsehood; then as for the scum, it passes away as a worthless thing; and as for that which profits the people, it tarries in the earth; thus does Allah set forth parables.
તે આસમાનથી પાણી વરસાવે છે, પછી (નદી વગેરેમાં તેના) અંદાજ મુજબનું પાણી (સમાવી વધારાનુ પાણી ઝમીનની) સપાટી ઊપર વહેવા લાગે છે જેમાં ફીણ વળે છે આ ફીણની મિસાલ એવી છે જેવી ધાતુને ઘરેણા કે બીજી ચીઝ-વસ્તુઓ બનાવવા માટે આગમાં ગરમ કરતી વખતે વળતા ફીણની. આ રીતે અલ્લાહ હક અને બાતિલની મિસાલ બયાન કરે છે, પછી જે ફીણ હોય છે તે ફના થઇ જાય છે, અને જે લોકોને ફાયદો પહોંચાડે છે તે (પાણી અથવા ધાતુ) ઝમીન ઊપર રહી જાય છે: અલ્લાહ આ રીતે મિસાલો બયાન કરે છે!
براى آن‌ها که دعوت پروردگارشان را اجابت کردند، پاداش نیکو است؛ و کسانى که دعوت او را اجابت نکردند، [آنچنان در وحشت عذاب الهى فرو مى‌روند، که] اگر تمام آنچه در روى زمین است، و همانندش، از آن آن‌ها باشد، همه را براى رهایى از عذاب فدیه مى‌دهند. [ولى از آن‌ها پذیرفته نخواهد شد]. براى آن‌ها حساب بدى است؛ و جایگاهشان جهنّم، وچه بد جایگاهى است.
For those who respond to their Lord is good; and (as for) those who do not respond to Him, had they all that is in the earth and the like thereof with it they would certainly offer it for a ransom. (As for) those, an evil reckoning shall be theirs and their abode is hell, and evil is the resting-place.
તેઓ માટે સારો બદલો છે કે જેઓએ પોતાના પરવરદિગારની દાવત કબૂલ કરી, અને જે લોકોએ તેની દાવત કબૂલ ન કરી જો તેની પાસે જે કાંઇ ઝમીન ઊપર છે, તે અને તેના જેટલુ જ બીજુ હોત તો તે બધુ પોતાના છૂટકારા રૂપે બદલામાં આપી દેત (પરંતુ કબૂલ કરવામાં નહી આવે) આ લોકોના હિસાબ બહુજ ખરાબ હશે, અને તેમનું ઠેકાણું જહન્નમ છે, અને તે કેટલી ખરાબ જગ્યા છે.
آیا کسى که مى داند آنچه از طرف پروردگارت بر تو نازل شده حق است، همانند کسى است که نابیناست؟! تنها خردمندان متذکّر مى‌شوند.
Is he then who knows that what has been revealed to you from your Lord is the truth like him who is blind? Only those possessed of understanding will mind,
શું તે શખ્સ કે જે જાણે છે કે તારા પરવરદિગાર તરફથી જે કાંઇ તારી તરફ નાઝિલ કરવામાં આવ્યું છે તે હક છે, તે તેના જેવો છે કે જે આંધળો હોય! આ ફકત અક્કલમંદો જ નસીહત હાંસિલ કરે છે!
همان کسانى که به عهد الهى وفا مى‌کنند، و پیمان را نمى‌شکنند.
Those who fulfil the promise of Allah and do not break the covenant,
જેઓ અલ્લાહ સાથેનો વાયદો પૂરો કરે છે અને વાયદા ખિલાફી નથી કરતા:
