سورة الكهف
Al Kahf
و اينچنين مردم را از حال آن‌ها آگاه كرديم، تا بدانند كه وعده‌ی خداوند [در مورد رستاخيز] حق است؛ و در قيام قيامت شكى نيست؛ [و به ياد آور] هنگامى را كه [مردم] ميان خود درباره‌ی كار آن‌ها نزاع داشتند، گروهى مى‌گفتند: «بنايى بر آنان بسازيد [تا از نظرها پنهان شوند كه] پروردگارشان از وضع آن‌ها آگاه‌تر است». ولى كسانى كه از راز آن‌ها آگاهى يافتند [و آن را دليلى بر رستاخيز ديدند] گفتند: «ما عبادتگاهى در كنار [مدفن] آن‌ها مى‌سازيم [تا خاطره‌ی آنان فراموش نشود]».
And thus did We make (men) to get knowledge of them that they might know that Allah's promise is true and that as for the hour there is no doubt about it. When they disputed among themselves about their affair and said: Erect an edifice over them-- their Lord best knows them. Those who prevailed in their affair said: We will certainly raise a masjid over them.
અને આવી રીતે અમોએ તેમની હાલતથી તેઓને વાકેફ કરી દીધા કે જેથી તેઓ જાણી લે કે અલ્લાહનો વાયદો ખરેખર સાચો છે અને (કયામતની) ઘડી (આવવા)માં કાંઇ શક નથી. જે વખતે તેઓ તેમના મામલા સબંધી આપસમાં બહેસ કરવા લાગ્યા ત્યારે તેમણે કહ્યું કે તેમના પર એક ઇમારત બનાવી દો; તેમનો પરવરદિગાર તેમની હાલતથી સારી રીતે વાકેફ છે; જેમનો મશવેરો તેઓના મામલામાં ગાલીબ થયો તેમણે કહ્યું કે જરૂર અમે તેમના ઉપર એક મસ્જિદ બનાવીશું.
به‌زودى گروهى خواهند گفت: «آن‌ها سه نفر بودند، كه چهارمين آن‌ها سگشان بود». و گروهى مى‌گويند: «پنج نفر بودند، كه ششمين آن‌ها سگشان بود». در‌حالى‌كه اين‌ها سخنانى بى‌دليل است و گروهى مى‌گويند: «آن‌ها هفت‌نفر بودند، و هشتمين آن‌ها سگشان بود». بگو: «پروردگار من از تعدادشان آگاه‌تر است». جز گروه كمى، تعداد آن‌ها را نمى‌دانند. پس درباره‌ی آنان جز با دليل سخن مگو؛ و از هيچ‌كس درباره‌ی آن‌ها سؤال مكن.
(Some) say: (They are) three, the fourth of them being their dog; and (others) say: Five, the sixth of them being their dog, making conjectures at what is unknown; and (others yet) say: Seven, and the eighth of them is their dog. Say: My Lord best knows their number, none knows them but a few; therefore contend not in the matter of them but with an outward contention, and do not question concerning them any of them.
અનકરીબ લોકો કહેશે : તેઓ ત્રણ હતા અને ચોથો તેમનો કૂતરો હતો; અને (અમુક) કહેશે તેઓ પાંચ હતા અને છઠ્ઠો તેનો કૂતરો હતો તેઓ અટકળો બાંધે છે કે : અને (અમુક) કહેશે કે તેઓ સાત હતા (અને) આઠમો તેમનો કૂતરો હતો. તું કહે કે મારો પરવરદિગાર તેમની સંખ્યાથી સારી રીતે વાકેફ છે, તેમની સંખ્યાને નથી જાણતા પણ થોડા લોકો માટે તમે તેમના સંબંધમાં તકરાર ન કરો સિવાય કે સામાન્ય વાતચીત અને તેમના વિશે કોઇપણનો મત માંગો નહી.
و هرگز در مورد كارى نگو: «من فردا آن را انجام مى‌دهم».
And do not say of anything: Surely I will do it tomorrow,
અને કોઇ પણ કામની બાબતમાં તું એમ ન કહે કે કાલે હું તે કરીશ:
مگر اينكه خدا بخواهد. و هرگاه فراموش كردى، پروردگارت را به خاطر بياور؛ و بگو: «اميدوارم كه پروردگارم مرا به راهى روشن‌تر از اين هدايت كند».
Unless Allah pleases; and remember your Lord when you forget and say: Maybe my Lord will guide me to a nearer course to the right than this.
સિવાય કે અલ્લાહ ચાહશે; અને જ્યારે તું ભૂલી જાય ત્યારે તારા પરવરદિગારને યાદ કર અને કહે : ઉમ્મીદવાર છુ કે મારો પરવરદિગાર મને આ કરતા વધુ નઝદીક રસ્તાની હિદાયત કરશે.
آن‌ها در غارشان سيصد سال درنگ كردند، و نُه سال [نيز] بر آن افزودند.
And they remained in their cave three hundred years and (some) add (another) nine.
અને તેઓ તેમની ગુફામાં ત્રણસો વર્ષ રહ્યા અને (બીજા) નવ (વર્ષનો) વધારો થયો.
بگو: «خداوند از مدّت درنگ آن‌ها آگاه‌تر است؛ غيب آسمان‌ها و زمين تنها از آن اوست. خداوند چه بينا و شنواست! آن‌ها هيچ ولىّ و سرپرستى جز او ندارند. و او هيچ‌كس را در حكومت خود شركت نمى‌دهد».
Say: Allah knows best how long they remained; to Him are (known) the unseen things of the heavens and the earth; how clear His sight and how clear His hearing! There is none to be a guardian for them besides Him, and He does not make any one His associate in His Judgement.
(અય રસૂલ!) તું કહે : અલ્લાહ જ બેહતર જાણે છે કે તેઓ કેટલો સમય રહ્યા? આકાશો તથા ઝમીનની ગૈબી વાતો તે જ જાણે છે; તે કેવો જોનાર અને કેવો સાંભળનાર છે! તેના સિવાય તેઓનો બીજો કોઇ સરપરસ્ત નથી, અને તે (અલ્લાહ) પોતાના હુકમમાં કોઇ બીજાને શરીક કરતો નથી.
آنچه را از كتاب پروردگارت به تو وحى‌شده تلاوت كن؛ هيچ‌چيز سخنان او را دگرگون نمى‌سازد؛ و هرگز پناهگاهى جز او نمى‌يابى.
And recite what has been revealed to you of the Book of your Lord, there is none who can alter His words; and you shall not find any refuge besides Him.
અને તારા પરવરદિગારની કિતાબમાંથી તારા તરફ જે કાંઇ વહી કરવામાં આવી છે તેની તિલાવત કર; તેના શબ્દોને કોઇ બદલી શકતુ નથી; અને તને તેના સિવાય બીજે ક્યાંય પનાહ મળશે નહી.
با كسانى باش كه پروردگار خود را صبح و شام مى‌خوانند، و تنها رضاى او را مى‌طلبند؛ و هرگز به خاطر زيورهاى دنيا، چشمان خود را از آن‌ها برمگير. و از كسانى كه قلبشان را از يادمان غافل ساختيم و از هواى نفس پيروى كردند، و كارشان افراطى است، اطاعت مكن.
And withhold yourself with those who call on their Lord morning and evening desiring His goodwill, and let not your eyes pass from them, desiring the beauties of this world's life; and do not follow him whose heart We have made unmindful to Our remembrance, and he follows his low desires and his case is one in which due bounds are exceeded.
અને તે લોકોનો સાથ આપ કે જેઓ સવાર સાંજ પોતાના પરવરદિગારને પોકારે છે, અને તે (અલ્લાહ)ની જ ખુશીના તલબગાર છે, અને દુનિયાની ઝિંદગીની ઝીનતના તલબગાર બની તેઓથી તારી નજર ફેરવી ન લેજે, અને તે શખ્સની ઇતાઅત ન કર કે જેના દિલને અમે અમારી યાદથી ગાફિલ બનાવી દીધું છે અને જે પોતાની ખ્વાહીશાતોની તાબેદારી કરે છે અને જેનું કામ હદ ઓળંગી જવાનુ છે.
بگو: «حق از سوى پروردگارتان براى شما آمده است! هركس مى‌خواهد ايمان بياورد [و اين حقيقت را پذيرا شود]، و هركس مى‌خواهد كافر گردد». ما براى ستمكاران آتشى آماده كرده‌ايم كه سرا پرده‌اش آنان را از هر‌سو احاطه كرده است. و اگر تقاضاى آب كنند، آبى براى آنان مى‌آورند كه همچون فلز گداخته صورت‌ها را بريان مى‌كند. چه نوشيدنى بدى، و چه اجتماع ناپسندى!
And say: The truth is from your Lord, so let him who please believe, and let him who please disbelieve; surely We have prepared for the iniquitous a fire, the curtains of which shall encompass them about; and if they cry for water, they shall be given water like molten brass which will scald their faces; evil the drink and ill the resting-place.
અને તું કહે : હક તમારા પરવરદિગાર તરફથી છે; માટે જે ચાહે તે ઇમાન લઇ આવે, અને જે ચાહે તે ઇન્કાર કરે;* બેશક અમોએ ઝાલિમ લોકો માટે એક આગ તૈયાર કરી છે કે જેના પડદાઓ તેમને ઘેરી લેશે; અને અગર તેઓ (પાણીની) ફરિયાદ કરશે તો પીગળેલા તાંબાથી તેઓની ફરિયાદ દૂર કરવામાં આવશે. જે તેમના ચહેરા ભૂંજી નાખશે; કેવુ બૂરૂં છે તે પીણું અને બૂરૂં હશે તે ઠેકાણુ!
به‌طور مسلّم كسانى كه ايمان آوردند و كارهاى شايسته انجام دادند، [به آن‌ها پاداش نيك مى‌دهيم] به يقين ما پاداش نيكوكاران را ضايع نخواهيم كرد.
Surely (as for) those who believe and do good, We do not waste the reward of him who does a good work.
હકીકતમાં જે લોકો ઇમાન લાવ્યા અને જેમણે નેક આમાલ કર્યા, અમે તે સારા અમલ કરનારનો સવાબ બરબાદ (વ્યર્થ) થવા દેતા નથી.
