سورة الروم
Ar Rum
الم
Alif Lam Mim.
અલીફ લામ મીમ.
روميان شكست خوردند.
The Romans are vanquished,
રૂમવાળા પરાજીત થઇ ગયા.
[و اين شكست] در سرزمين نزديكى رخ داد، امّا آنان پس از [اين] شكست به‌زودى پيروز خواهند شد.
In a near land, and they, after being vanquished, shall overcome,
પાસેની ઝમીનમાં, તેઓ પરાજય થવા બાદ ટૂંક સમયમાં પાછા ગાલિબ થઇ જશે :
در چند سال [آينده، اين پيروزى رخ مى‌دهد]. همه‌ی كارها از آن خداست؛ چه قبل و چه بعد [از اين شكست و پيروزى] و در آن روز، مؤمنان [به خاطر پيروزى ديگرى] خوشحال خواهند شد.
Within a few years. Allah's is the command before and after; and on that day the believers shall rejoice,
થોડાક વર્ષોમાં; કામ્યાબી પહેલા તથા પછી દરેક કામ અલ્લાહના હાથમાં જ છે અને તે દિવસે ઇમાનવાળા ખુશ થશે:*
به سبب يارى خداوند و او هركس را بخواهد يارى مى دهد و او توانا و مهربان است.
With the help of Allah; He helps whom He pleases; and He is the Mighty, the Merciful;
અલ્લાહની મદદથી; તે જેને ચાહે છે મદદ કરે છે; અને તે જબરદસ્ત મહેરબાન છે:
اين وعده‌ی خداست و خداوند هرگز از وعده‌اش تخلّف نمى‌كند، ولى بيشتر مردم نمى‌دانند!
(This is) Allah's promise! Allah will not fail His promise, but most people do not know.
આ અલ્લાહનો વાયદો છે; અલ્લાહ હરગિઝ પોતાના વાયદા ખિલાફ કરતો નથી, પરંતુ ઘણાંખરા લોકો જાણતા નથી.
آن‌ها فقط ظاهرى از زندگى دنيا را مى‌دانند و از آخرت [و پايان كار] غافلند.
They know the outward of this world's life, but of the hereafter they are absolutely heedless.
તેઓ ફકત દુનિયાના જાહેરી જીવનને જાણે છે, અને આખેરતથી તેઓ બિલ્કુલ ગાફેલ છે.
آيا آنان با خود نينديشيدند كه خداوند آسمان‌ها و زمين و آنچه را ميان آن دو است جز به‌حق [و درجهت هدف مهمّى] و براى زمان معيّنى نيافريده است؟! ولى بسيارى از مردم، [رستاخيز و] لقاى پروردگارشان را منكرند.
Do they not reflect within themselves: Allah did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them two but with truth, and (for) an appointed term? And most surely most of the people are deniers of the meeting of their Lord.
શું તેઓ પોતાની જાતમાં વિચાર નથી કરતા કે અલ્લાહે આસમાનો તથા ઝમીન અને જે કાંઇ તેમની વચ્ચે છે તેને ખલ્ક નથી કર્યુ સિવાય કે હકની સાથે અને ચોક્કસ મુદ્દત માટે, જો કે લોકોમાં ઘણાંખરા પોતાના પરવરદિગારની મુલાકાતનો ઇન્કાર કરનારા છે.
آيا در زمين گردش نكردند تا ببينند عاقبت كسانى كه قبل از آنان بودند چگونه بود؟! آن‌ها نيرومندتر از اينان بودند و زمين را [براى زراعت و آبادى] دگرگون ساختند و بيش از اينان، آن را آباد كردند و پيامبرانشان با دلايل روشن به‌سراغشان آمدند [امّا آن‌ها انكار كردند و كيفر خود را ديدند]؛ خداوند هرگز به آنان ستم نكرد، ولى خودشان به خويشتن ستم مى‌كردند.
Have they not travelled in the earth and seen how was the end of those before them? They were stronger than these in prowess, and dug up the earth, and built on it in greater abundance than these have built on it, and there came to them their apostles with clear arguments; so it was not beseeming for Allah that He should deal with them unjustly, but they dealt unjustly with their own souls.
અને શું તેઓએ ઝમીનમાં મુસાફરી નથી કરી કે તેઓ જૂએ કે તેમની અગાઉવાળાઓનો અંજામ કેવો થયો હતો ? તેઓ તેમના કરતાં વધારે તાકતવર હતા, અને ઝમીનને ખેડીને તેમના કરતાંય વધુ આબાદ કરી હતી, અને તેમના પાસે અમારા રસૂલો વાઝેહ નિશાનીઓ લઇને આવ્યા હતા; અને હરગિઝ ખુદા પોતાના બંદાઓ ઉપર ઝુલ્મ નથી કર્યો પરંતુ લોકો પોતાના નફસ ઉપર ઝુલ્મ કરતા હતા.
سپس سرانجام كسانى كه اعمال بد مرتكب شدند به جايى رسيد كه آيات خدا را تكذيب كردند و پيوسته آن را مسخره مى‌نمودند.
Then evil was the end of those who did evil, because they |
પછી જેમણે બૂરાઈ કરી હતી તેમનું પરિણામ એ આવ્યુ કે તેઓ અલ્લાહની નિશાનીઓ જૂઠલાવીને તેમની મજાક કરતા હતા.
