سورة الدخان
Ad Dukhan
روزى كه هيچ دوستى كمترين كمكى به دوستش نمى‌كند، و [از هيچ سو] يارى نمى‌شوند.
The day on which a friend shall not avail (his) friend aught, nor shall they be helped,
જે દિવસે કોઇ દોસ્ત બીજા દોસ્તને કંઇપણ કામ નહિ આવે, અને ન તેમની (ક્યાંયથી) મદદ કરવામાં આવશે:
مگر كسى كه خدا او را مورد رحمت قرار داده، چرا كه او توانا و مهربان است.
Save those on whom Allah shall have mercy; surely He is the Mighty the Merciful.
સિવાય કે જેમના પર અલ્લાહ રહેમ કરે; બેશક તે જબરદસ્ત અને રહીમ છે.
به يقين درخت زقّوم
Surely the tree of the Zaqqum,
બેશક થોરનું ઝાડ:
غذاى گنهكاران است.
Is the food of the sinful
ગુનેહગારોનો ખોરાક છે.
همانند فلز گداخته در شكم‌ها مى‌جوشد.
Like dregs of oil; it shall boil in (their) bellies,
જે પીગળેલા તાંબાની જેમ પેટમાં ઉકળશે:
همچون جوشش آب سوزان.
Like the boiling of hot water.
જાણે ગરમ પાણી ઉકળે છે!
[آنگاه به مأموران دوزخ خطاب مى‌شود:] او را بگيريد و به ميان دوزخ پرتابش كنيد.
Seize him, then drag him down into the middle of the hell;
(ફરિશ્તાઓને હુકમ થશે કે) તેને પકડો, અને જહન્નમની વચ્ચે ફેંકો:
سپس بر سر او از عذاب آب سوزان بريزيد.
Then pour above his head of the torment of the boiling water:
તે પછી તેના માથા ઉપર ઉકળતા પાણીનો અઝાબ નાખી દો.
[به او گفته مى‌شود:] بچش كه [به پندار خود] بسيار توانا و بزرگوار بودى!
Taste; you forsooth are the mighty, the honorable:
(તેને કહેવામાં આવશે) મજા ચાખ, (તારા ગુમાન મુજબ) તુ જબરદસ્ત બુઝુર્ગ હતો.
اين همان چيزى است كه پيوسته در آن ترديد مى‌كرديد.
Surely this is what you disputed about.
જે (અઝાબ)ના સંબંધમાં તમે શંકા કર્યા કરતા હતા તે આ જ છે.
