سورة الأعراف
Al A'raf
و [ياد آوريد] هنگامى را كه به آن‌ها گفته شد: «در اين شهر (بيت المقدس) ساكن شويد، و از هرجا [و به هر كيفيّت] بخواهيد، از آن تغذيه كنيد؛ و بگوييد: خداوندا! گناهان ما را بريز». و از در [بيت‌المقدس] با خضوع وارد شويد. كه اگر چنين كنيد، گناهان شما را مى‌بخشيم؛ و پاداش نيكوكاران را افزون خواهيم ساخت.
And when it was said to them: Reside in this town and eat from it wherever you wish, and say, Put down from us our heavy burdens: and enter the gate making obeisance, We will forgive you your wrongs: We will give more to those who do good (to others).
અને જ્યારે તેમને કહેવામાં આવ્યું કે આ વસ્તીમાં વસવાટ કરો અને તેમાંથી તમારૂં મન જ્યાંથી ચાહે ખાઓ અને કહો : હિત્તા (અમારા માથેથી ગુનાહનો બોજ ઉતારી દે) અને સજદો કરતા કરતા દરવાજામાં દાખલ થાઓ ત્યારે અમે તમારી ભૂલોને માફ કરી દઇશું* નેકી કરનારાઓને અમે વધારે અતા કરશું.
امّا ستمكاران آن‌ها، اين سخن را، به غير آنچه به آن‌ها گفته شده بود، [به‌صورتى استهزاآميز] تغيير دادند؛ از اين‌رو به خاطر ستمى كه روا مى‌داشتند، عذابى از آسمان بر آن‌ها فرستاديم [و مجازاتشان كرديم].
But those who were unjust among them changed it for a saying other than that which had been spoken to them; so We sent upon them a pestilence from heaven because they were unjust.
પછી તેઓમાંથી ઝુલમગારોએ જે બોલવાનું કહેવામાં આવ્યું હતું તે (હિત્તા) બદલી નાખ્યુ, જેથી અમોએ તેમના પર આસમાનમાંથી અઝાબ મોકલ્યો કારણ કે તેઓ ઝુલ્મ કરતા હતા.
و از آن‌ها درباره‌ی [سرگذشت] شهرى كه در ساحل دريا بود بپرس. زمانى‌كه آن‌ها در روزهاى شنبه، تجاوز [و نافرمانى خدا] مى‌كردند؛ همان هنگام كه ماهيانشان، روز شنبه [كه روز تعطيل و عبادت بود، بر سطح آب]، آشكار مى‌شد؛ امّا در غير روز شنبه، به سراغ آن‌ها نمى‌آمد؛ اين‌گونه آن‌ها را به چيزى آزمايش كرديم كه نافرمانى مى‌كردند.
And ask them about the town which stood by the sea; when they exceeded the limits of the Sabbath, when their fish came to them on the day of their Sabbath, appearing on the surface of the water, and on the day on which they did not keep the Sabbath they did not come to them; thus did We try them because they transgressed.
અને તેમને તે શહેર (ના લોકો)ના બારામાં પૂછ કે જે દરિયા કિનારે હતું; તેઓએે શનિવારના (દિવસે માછલાં પકડીને) નાફરમાની કરી, શનિવારે (માછલાં) પાણીની સપાટી પર આવી જતા પરંતુ બીજા દિવસોમાં તે (પાણી સપાટી પર) આવતા ન હતા; આ રીતે અમોએ તેમની અજમાઇશ કરી કારણ કે તેઓ ગુનાહ કરતા હતા.
و [به ياد آر] هنگامى را كه گروهى از آن‌ها گفتند: «چرا گروهى [گنهكار] را كه خداوند هلاكشان خواهد كرد، يا به عذاب شديدى گرفتار خواهد ساخت، اندرز مى‌دهيد»؟! گفتند: «اين اندرزها، براى اعتذار [و انجام وظيفه] در پيشگاه پروردگار شماست؛ [به‌علاوه] شايد آن‌ها [بپذيرند، و] تقوا پيشه كنند».
And when a party of them said: Why do you admonish a with a severe chastisement? They said: To be free from blame before your Lord, and that haply they may guard (against evil).
અને જ્યારે તેઓમાંના એક જમાઅતે કહ્યું કે તમે એવા લોકોને નસીહત જ શાને કરો છો કે જેમનો અલ્લાહ નાશ કરી નાખનાર અથવા તેમને સખ્ત અઝાબ આપનાર છે? ત્યારે તેમણે કહ્યું કે (અમે તો) તમારા પરવરદિગારની હજૂરમાં (જવાબદારી અદા કરવાની) લાચારી દર્શાવવા અને કદાચ તેઓ (બૂરાઇથી) બચે.
امّا هنگامى‌كه تذكّراتى را كه به آن‌ها داده شده بود فراموش كردند، [و لحظه عذاب فرا رسيد]؛ نهى‌كنندگان از بدى را رهايى بخشيديم؛ و كسانى را كه ستم كردند، به خاطر نافرمانيشان به عذاب شديدى گرفتار ساختيم.
So when they neglected what they had been reminded of, We delivered those who forbade evil and We overtook those who were unjust with an evil chastisement because they transgressed.
પછી જ્યારે તેમને જે (નેકીની વાતો) તેઓને યાદ દેવરાવી હતી તે તેમણે ભૂલાવી દીધી ત્યારે અમોએ તે લોકોને કે જેઓ બદીથી અટકાવતા હતા તેમને નજાત આપી અને જેઓ ઝૂલમગાર હતા તેમની નાફરમાનીના કારણે તેમને સખ્ત અઝાબમાં જકડી લીધા.
[آرى]، هنگامى‌كه در برابر آنچه از آن نهى‌شده بودند سرپيچى كردند، به آن‌ها گفتيم: «به شكل ميمون‌هايى طرد شده در آييد»!
Therefore when they revoltingly persisted in what they had been forbidden, We said to them: Be (as) apes, despised and hated.
પછી જ્યારે (ફરી વખત) તેમને જેની મનાઇ કરવામાં આવી હતી તે બાબતે નાફરમાની કરી ત્યારે અમોએ તેમને કહી દીધું કે ઝિલ્લત સાથે (હાંકી કાઢેલા) વાંદરા બની જાઓ.
و [نيز به خاطر بياور] هنگامى را كه پروردگارت اعلام كرد: تا روز قيامت، كسى را بر آن‌ها مسلّط خواهد ساخت كه همواره آن‌ها را در عذاب سختى قرار دهد؛ زيرا پروردگارت مجازاتش سريع، و [درعين‌حال، نسبت به توبه‌كنندگان] آمرزنده و مهربان است.
And when your Lord announced that He would certainly send against them to the day of resurrection those who would subject them to severe torment; most surely your Lord is quick to requite (evil) and most surely He is Forgiving, Merciful.
અને જ્યારે તારા પરવરદિગારે એલાન કરી દીધુ કે તે તેમના પર કયામત સુધી કોઇ એવા (હાકેમો)ને જરૂર સત્તા આપતો રહેશે કે જેઓ તેમને સખ્ત અઝાબ આપતો રહેશે; બેશક તારો પરવરદિગાર ઘણો ઝડપી સજા આપનારો છે અને બેશક તે (તોબા કરનાર માટે) ગફુરૂર રહીમ છે.
و آن‌ها را در زمين به‌صورت گروه‌هايى، پراكنده ساختيم؛ گروهى از آن‌ها صالح، و گروهى ناصالحند. و آن‌ها را با نيكى‌ها و بدى‌ها آزموديم، شايد بازگردند.
And We cut them up on the earth into parties, (some) of them being righteous and (others) of them falling short of that, and We tried them with blessings and misfortunes that they might turn.
અમોએ તેમને (બની ઇસરાઇલને) ઝમીનમાં અલગ અલગ ટૂકડાઓમાં વિખેરી નાખ્યા, તેમાંથી અમુક નેક છે અને અમુક નેક નથી અમોએ તેમની નેઅમતો અને સખ્તી વડે અજમાઇશ કરી કે કદાચને તેઓ પાછા વળે.
پس از آن‌ها، فرزندانى [ناصالح] جاى آن‌ها را گرفتند كه وارث كتاب [تورات] شدند؛ [امّا با اين حال]، متاع زودگذر اين دنياى پست را گرفته، [براطاعت فرمان خدا ترجيح مى‌دهند] و مى‌گويند: «[اگر ما گنهكاريم توبه مى‌كنيم] و به‌زودى بخشيده خواهيم شد». امّا اگر متاع ديگرى همانند آن به دستشان بيفتد، آن را [نيز] مى‌گيرند، آيا در كتاب آسمانى از آن‌ها پيمان‌گرفته‌نشده كه بر خدا [دروغ نبندند، و] جز حق نگويند، و آن‌ها آنچه را در آن [كتاب آسمانى] است آموخته‌اند؟! و سراى آخرت براى پرهيزگاران بهتر است، آيا نمى‌انديشيد؟!
Then there came after them an evil posterity who inherited the Book, taking only the frail good of this low life and saying: It will be forgiven us. And if the like good came to them, they would take it (too). Was not a promise taken from them in the Book that they would not speak anything about Allah but the truth, and they have read what is in it; and the abode of the hereafter is better for those who guard (against evil). Do you not then understand?
પરંતુ તેમના પછી એક ખરાબ નસ્લ આવી કે જેઓ કિતાબના વારસ થયા, અને આ પસ્ત દુનિયાની તુચ્છ ચીઝ વસ્તુઓ (માલ) જમા કરતા રહ્યા અને કહેતા હતા કે (જો અમે ગુનેહગાર છીએ તો) અમને માફ કરી દેવામાં આવશે, જો કે એવી જ બીજી ચીઝ વસ્તુઓ તેઓને મળે તો તે પણ લઇ લેશે; શું તેમની પાસેથી કિતાબમાં એવું વચન લેવામાં આવ્યું ન હતું કે તેઓ અલ્લાહના સબંધમાં હક સિવાય કોઇ વાત બોલશે નહિ, અને જે કાંઇ તેમાં છે તેને તેઓ વાંચી પણ ચૂક્યા છે અને જેઓ (બૂરાઇથી) બચતા રહે છે, તેમના માટે આખેરતનું ઘર બેહતર છે. શું તમે વિચારતા નથી?
و آن‌ها كه به كتاب [خدا] تمسّك جويند، و نماز را برپا دارند، [پاداش بزرگى خواهند داشت؛ زيرا] ما پاداش مصلحان را ضايع نخواهيم كرد.
And (as for) those who hold fast by the Book and keep up prayer, surely We do not waste the reward of the right doers.
અને જે લોકો કિતાબને વળગી રહે છે તથા નમાઝ કાયમ રાખે છે, બેશક અમે પણ નેકી કરનારાઓના બદલાને બરબાદ થવા દેતા નથી.
