An Nisa
آن‌ها كافران حقيقى‌اند؛ و براى كافران، مجازات خواركننده‌اى فراهم ساخته‌ايم.
These it is that are truly unbelievers, and We have prepared for the unbelievers a disgraceful chastisement.
તેઓ જ ખરેખરા નાસ્તિક છે; અને અમોએ નાસ્તિકો માટે ઝિલ્લત ભર્યો અઝાબ તૈયાર કર્યો છે.
ولى كسانى كه به خدا و پيامبرانش ايمان آورده، و ميان هيچ‌يك از آن‌ها فرق نگذاشته‌اند، خداوند پاداششان را خواهد داد؛ خداوند، آمرزنده و مهربان است.
And those who believe in Allah and His apostles and do not make a distinction between any of them-- Allah will grant them their rewards; and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
અને જેઓ અલ્લાહ તથા તેના રસૂલો પર ઇમાન લાવ્યા છે અને તેમાંથી કોઇની વચ્ચે ભેદભાવ રાખતા નથી, (અલ્લાહ) તેમને તેમનો અજ્ર નજીકમાં આપશે; અને અલ્લાહ ગફુરૂર રહીમ છે.
اهل كتاب از تو مى‌‌خواهند كتابى از آسمان [يك‌جا] بر آن‌ها نازل كنى؛ [در‌حالى‌كه اين يك بهانه است]؛ آن‌ها از موسى، بزرگتر از اين را خواستند، و گفتند: «خدا را آشكارا به ما نشان ده»! و به خاطر ظلم و ستمشان، صاعقه آن‌ها را فرا گرفت. سپس گوساله [سامرى] را، پس از آن همه دلايل روشن كه براى آن‌ها آمد، [به خدايى] انتخاب كردند. ولى ما از آن در گذشتيم [و عفو كرديم] و به موسى، برهان آشكارى داديم.
The followers of the Book ask you to bring down to them a book from heaven; so indeed they demanded of Musa a greater thing than that, for they said: Show us Allah manifestly; so the lightning overtook them on account of their injustice. Then they took the calf (for a god), after clear signs had come to them, but We pardoned this; and We gave to Musa clear authority.
કિતાબવાળાઓ તારાથી સવાલ કરે છે કે તું આસમાન પરથી તેમના ઉપર કિતાબ નાઝિલ કરાવ જો કે મૂસાને (પણ) તેઓ આ કરતાંય મોટો સવાલ કરી ચૂક્યા હતા, તેમણે કહ્યું હતું કે અમને અલ્લાહ જાહેરમાં દેખાડી દે; તેમના ઝુલ્મના કારણે તેમને વીજળીએ પકડી પાડ્યા. વળી તેમની પાસે રોશન દલીલ આવી ગયા પછી પણ તેઓએ વાછરડાને (માઅબૂદ તરીકે) પસંદ કર્યુ, તેમ છતાં અમોએ તેઓને માફ કરી દીધા; અને મૂસાને રોશન દલીલ અતા કરી.
و كوه طور را برفراز آن‌ها برافراشتيم؛ و در همان حال از آن‌ها پيمان گرفتيم، و به آن‌ها گفتيم: «[براى توبه]، از در [بيت‌المقدس] با خضوع در آييد». و به آنان گفتيم: «در روز شنبه تعدّى نكنيد [و دست از كار بكشيد].» و از آنان [در برابر همه‌ی اين‌ها]، پيمان محكمى گرفتيم.
And We lifted the mountain (Sainai) over them at (the taking of the covenant) and We said to them: Enter the door making obeisance; and We said to them: Do not exceed the limits of the Sabbath, and We made with them a firm covenant.
(અને તેમનાથી વચન લેવા માટે) તૂર (નામના પર્વત)ને તેઓ માથે રાખીને અમોએ તેમને કહ્યું કે દરવાજામાંથી સજદો કરતા દાખલ થાઓ, તથા તેમને કહ્યું કે શનિવાર બાબતે અમારા હુકમનું ઉલ્લંઘન કરો નહિ; અને અમોએ તેમની પાસેથી મજબૂત વાયદો લીધો.
[ولى] به خاطر پيمان‌شكنى آن‌ها، و انكار آيات خدا، و كشتن پيامبران به ناحق، و اينكه [از روى استهزا] مى‌گفتند: «دل‌هاى ما، در غلاف است [و سخنان پيامبر را درك نمى‌كنيم. رانده‌ی درگاه خدا شدند]. آرى، خداوند به سبب كفرشان، بر دل‌هاى آن‌ها مهر زده؛ كه جز عدّه‌ی كمى [كه راه حق مى‌پويند] ايمان نمى‌آورند.
Therefore, for their breaking their covenant and their disbelief in the communications of Allah and their killing the prophets wrongfully and their saying: Our hearts are covered; nay! Allah set a seal upon them owing to their unbelief, so they shall not believe except a few.
પછી તેઓના વચન તોડવાના કારણે અને અલ્લાહની આયતોનોનો ઇન્કાર કરવાના કારણે અને નબીઓને વિના કારણે મારી નાખવાના કારણે તેમના આ કહેવાના કારણે કે “અમારા દિલો (કુદરતી રીતે) ઢંકાએલા છે” હા, અલ્લાહે તેમના નાસ્તિકપણાના કારણે તેમના દિલો પર મહોર લગાડી દીધી છે, માટે તેઓમાંથી થોડાક સિવાય ઇમાન લાવશે નહિ.
و [نيز] به خاطر كفرشان، و تهمت بزرگى كه بر مريم زدند.
And for their unbelief and for their having uttered against Marium a grievous calumny.
અને તેમની નાફરમાનીના કારણે અને મરિયમ ઉપર ભારે તોહમત મૂકવાના કારણે:
و اينكه گفتند: «ما، مسيح عيسى‌بن‌مريم پيامبر خدا را كشتيم». در‌حالى‌كه نه او را كشتند، و نه بردار كردند؛ بلكه امر بر آن‌ها مشتبه شد. و كسانى كه در مورد [قتل] او اختلاف كردند، نسبت به آن در شك هستند و به هيچ‌صورت علم به آن ندارند و تنها از پندارهاى بى‌اساس پيروى مى‌كنند؛ و به يقين او را نكشتند.
And their saying: Surely we have killed the Messiah, Isa son of Marium, the apostle of Allah; and they did not kill him nor did they crucify him, but it appeared to them so (like Isa) and most surely those who differ therein are only in a doubt about it; they have no knowledge respecting it, but only follow a conjecture, and they killed him not for sure.
અને તેમના આ કહેવાના કારણે કે બેશક અમોએ અલ્લાહના રસૂલ મરિયમના ફરઝંદ, ઇસા મસીહને મારી નાખ્યો છે, જો કે તેમણે તેને ન મારી નાખ્યો અને સલીબ ઊપર ચઢાવ્યો, પરંતુ આ મામલો તેઓ માટે શંકાસ્પદ બનાવી દીધો; અને બેશક જેઓ આ બાબતમાં મતભેદ કરે છે તેઓ આ બાબતમાં ખરેજ મોટી શંકામાં છે; ફકત ગુમાનની પૈરવી સિવાય તેમને આ બાબતમાં કાંઇ જાણકારી નથી, અને આ તો યકીની બાબત છે કે તેઓએ (યહૂદીઓએ) તેને (ઇસા અ.સ.ને) કત્લ કર્યો નથી:
بلكه خدا او را به‌سوى خود، بالا برد. و خداوند، توانا و حكيم است.
Nay! Allah took him up to Himself; and Allah is Mighty, Wise.
બલ્કે તેને અલ્લાહે પોતાની તરફ ઊઠાવી લીધો છે; અને અલ્લાહ ઇઝ્ઝતવાળો (કુદરતવાળો અને) હિકમતવાળો છે.
و هيچ‌يك از اهل كتاب نيست مگر اينكه پيش از مرگش به او (حضرت مسيح) ايمان مى‌آورد؛ و روز قيامت، عليه آن‌ها گواه خواهد بود.
And there is not one of the followers of the Book but most certainly believes in this before his death, and on the day of resurrection he (Isa) shall be a witness against them.
અને કિતાબવાળાઓમાંથી કોઇપણ એવો નહિ હશે કે જે પોતાના મરણ પહેલાં તે (મસીહ)ની પર ઇમાન* નહિ લાવે, અને કયામતના દિવસે તે (મસીહ) તેમની ખિલાફ ગવાહી આપશે.
به خاطر ظلمى كه از يهود صادر شد، و [نيز] به خاطر بازداشتن فراوان آن‌ها از راه خدا، بخشى از چيزها [و خوراكى‌هاى] پاكيزه را كه براى آن‌ها حلال شده بود، بر آنان حرام كرديم.
Wherefore for the iniquity of those who are Jews did We disallow to them the good things which had been made lawful for them and for their hindering many (people) from Allah's way.
પછી ઘણા લોકોને અલ્લાહની રાહથી રોકવાના કારણે તેમજ યહૂદીઓના ઝૂલ્મોના કારણે તેમના માટે જે પાક વસ્તુઓ હલાલ હતી તેમાંથી ઘણીએ વસ્તુઓ અમોએ હરામ કરી નાખી.
