سورة يوسف
Yusuf
هنگامى‌كه [همسر عزيز] نيرنگ آن‌ها را شنيد، به سراغشان فرستاد؛ و براى آن‌ها پشتى [گرانبها، و مجلس باشكوهى] فراهم ساخت؛ و به دست هر‌كدام، كاردى [براى بريدن ميوه] داد؛ و [به يوسف] گفت: «بر آنان وارد شو»! هنگامى‌كه چشمشان به او افتاد، او را بسيار با شكوه [و زيبا] يافتند؛ و [بى‌توجّه] دست‌هاى خود را بريدند؛ و گفتند: «منزّه است خدا! اين بشر نمى‌باشد؛ اين جز يك فرشته‌ی بزرگوار نيست»!
So when she heard of their sly talk she sent for them and prepared for them a repast, and gave each of them a knife, and said (to Yusuf): Come forth to them. So when they saw him, they deemed him great, and cut their hands (in amazement), and said: Remote is Allah (from imperfection); this is not a mortal; this is but a noble angel.
પછી જ્યારે તેણીએ તેણીઓના મક્ર (મેણાં ટોણાં) સાંભળ્યા ત્યારે તેણીઓને બોલાવી અને તેણીઓ માટે (કિંમતી) તખ્તવાળા મસનદ તૈયાર કર્યા, પછી તેઓમાંથી દરેકને છરી આપી, અને (યુસુફને) કહ્યું કે તું તેમની સામે નીકળી આવ. પછી જ્યારે ઔરતોએ તેને જોયો ત્યારે તે મહાન દેખાયો, તેણીઓએ પોત પોતાના હાથ કાપી નાખ્યા, અને બોલી ઉઠી અલ્લાહ પાક છે આ ઇન્સાન નથી; આ એક મોહતરમ ફરિશ્તો છે.
[همسر عزيز] گفت: «اين همان كسى است كه به خاطر [عشق] او مرا سرزنش كرديد. [آرى] من او را به خويشتن دعوت كردم؛ و او خوددارى كرد. و اگر آنچه را به او دستور مى‌دهم انجام ندهد، به زندان خواهد افتاد؛ و به يقين خوار و حقير خواهد شد».
She said: This is he with respect to whom you blamed me, and certainly I sought his yielding himself (to me), but he abstained, and if he does not do what I bid him, he shall certainly be imprisoned, and he shall certainly be of those who are in a state of ignominy.
તેણીએ કહ્યું કે આ એ જ છે કે જેના સબંધમાં તમે મારી મલામત કરતા હતા કે મે તેને (બદઇરાદાથી) મારી તરફ ખેંચ્યો પણ તેને પરહેઝ કરી જો તે મારા હુકમ પર અમલ નહી કરે તો તેને ખરેખર કૈદ કરવામાં આવશે અને ખરેખર તે ઝલીલ થઇ જશે.
[يوسف] گفت: «پروردگارا! زندان نزد من محبوب‌تر است از آنچه اين‌ها مرا به‌سوى آن مى‌خوانند؛ و اگر مكر و نيرنگ آن‌ها را از من بازنگردانى، به‌سوى آنان متمايل خواهم شد و از جاهلان خواهم بود».
He said: My Lord! the prison house is dearer to me than that to which they invite me; and if Thou turn not away their device from me, I will yearn towards them and become (one) of the ignorant.
તેણે કહ્યું : અય મારા પરવરદિગાર જેના તરફ તેણીઓ મને બોલાવે છે તેના કરતાં કૈદખાનું મને વધારે પસંદ છે અને જો તેણીઓની મક્કારીને મારાથી પલટાવીશ નહી તો હું તેણીઓ તરફ ઢળી જઇશ અને જાહીલોમાંથી થઇ જઇશ.
پروردگارش دعاى او را اجابت كرد؛ و مكر آنان را از او بازگرداند؛ چراكه او شنوا و داناست.
Thereupon his Lord accepted his prayer and turned away their guile from him; surely He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
આથી અલ્લાહે યુસુફની દુઆ કબૂલ કરી અને તે ઔરતોની મક્કારી તેનાથી પલટાવી દીધી; બેશક તે સાંભળનાર, જાણનાર છે.
سپس با اينكه نشانه‌‌هاى [پاكى يوسف] را ديدند، تصميم گرفتند او را تا مدّتى زندانى‌كنند.
Then it occurred to them after they had seen the signs that they should imprison him till a time.
પછી (યુસુફની પાકીઝગીની) નિશાનીઓ જોઇ લીધા બાદ પણ તેને એક મુદ્દત માટે કૈદ કરવાનું બહેતર લાગ્યું.
و [در اين هنگام] دوجوان، همراه او وارد زندان شدند؛ يكى از آن دو گفت: «من در خواب ديدم كه [انگور براى ساختن] شراب مى‌فشارم». و ديگرى گفت: «من درخواب ديدم نان بر سرم حمل مى‌كنم؛ كه پرندگان از آن مى‌خورند؛ ما را از تعبير اين خواب آگاه كن كه تو را از نيكوكاران مى‌بينيم».
And two youths entered the prison with him. One of them said: I saw myself pressing wine. And the other said: I saw myself carrying bread on my head, of which birds ate. Inform us of its interpretation; surely we see you to be of the doers of good.
અને કૈદખાનામાં તેની સાથે બે જવાનો દાખલ થયા; તેઓમાંના એકે કહ્યું કે બેશક મેં (ખ્વાબમાં) જોયું કે હું દ્રાક્ષ નીચોવી શરાબ બનાવી રહ્યો છું અને બીજાએ કહ્યું કે મેં (ખ્વાબમાં) જોયું છે કે મેં મારા માથા પર રોટલી ઊંચકી છે, જેમાંથી પરીન્દાઓ ખાય છે; તેની તાબીર તું અમને જણાવ; બેશક અમે તને નેક કિરદારવાળાઓમાંથી જોઇએ છીએ.
[يوسف] گفت: «غذاى روزانه‌ی شما را نمى‌آورند، مگر اينكه پيش از آن، شما را از تعبير خوابتان آگاه خواهم ساخت. اين، از دانشى است كه پروردگارم به من آموخته است. زيرا من آيين قومى را كه به خدا ايمان ندارند، و به سراى ديگر كافرند، ترك گفتم [و شايسته‌ی چنين موهبتى شدم].
He said: There shall not come to you the food with which you are fed, but I will inform you both of its interpretation before it comes to you; this is of what my Lord has taught me; surely I have forsaken the religion of a people who do not believe in Allah, and they are deniers of the hereafter:
તેણે કહ્યું કે તમને આપવામાં આવતુ ખાવાનુ નહી આવે તે પહેલા હુ તમને તાબીર બતાવી દઇશ, આ ઇલ્મ મારા પરવરદિગારે મને શીખવ્યુ છે કારણકે મેં તે લોકોના રસ્તાને છોડી દીધો છે કે જેઓ અલ્લાહ પર ઇમાન રાખતા નથી અને કયામતનો પણ ઇન્કાર કરનારા છે.
و من از آيين پدرانم ابراهيم و اسحاق و يعقوب پيروى كردم. براى ما شايسته نبود چيزى را همتاى خدا قرار دهيم؛ اين از فضل خدا بر ما و بر مردم است؛ ولى بيشتر مردم شكرگزارى نمى‌كنند.
And I follow the religion of my fathers, Ibrahim and Ishaq and Yaqoub; it beseems us not that we should associate aught with Allah; this is by Allah's grace upon us and on mankind, but most people do not give thanks:
અને હું મારા બાપદાદા ઇબ્રાહિમ તથા ઇસ્હાક તથા યાકૂબના મઝહબની તાબેદારી કરૂં છું. અમારા માટે યોગ્ય નથી કે અમે કોઇને પણ અલ્લાહના શરીક બનાવીએ. આ અમારા ઉપર તથા બધા ઇન્સાનો પર અલ્લાહનો ફઝલ છે, પરંતુ ઘણાંખરા લોકો શુક્ર કરતા નથી.
اى دوستان زندانى من! آيا خدايان متعدّد و پراكنده بهترند، يا خداوند يگانه‌اى كه بر همه چيز قاهر است؟!
O my two mates of the prison! are sundry lords better or Allah the One, the Supreme?
અય મારા કૈદખાનાના બન્ને સાથીઓ! શું જુદા જુદા પરવરદિગાર સારા છે કે દરેક ચીઝો ઉપર છવાઇ જનાર અલ્લાહ ?
آنچه غير از خدا مى‌پرستيد، جز اسم‌هايى [بى‌مسمّا] كه شما و پدرانتان آن‌ها را [خدا] ناميده‌ايد نيست؛ خداوند هيچ دليلى بر آن نازل نكرده؛ حكم تنها از آن خداست؛ فرمان داده كه غير از او را نپرستيد. اين است آيين ثابت و پايدار؛ ولى بيشتر مردم نمى‌دانند.
You do not serve besides Him but names which you have named, you and your fathers; Allah has not sent down any authority for them; Judgement is only Allah's; He has commanded that you shall not serve aught but Him; this is the right religion but most people do not know:
તમો તે નામો સિવાય કોઇની ઇબાદત નથી કરતા કે જે તમો તથા તમારા બાપ દાદાઓએ ઘડી કાઢયા છે, જેમના માટે અલ્લાહે કાંઇ દલીલ નાઝિલ કરી નથી; ફેસલાનો હક ફકત અલ્લાહને જ છે; તેણે હુકમ આપ્યો છે કે તમે તેના સિવાય કોઇની ઇબાદત કરો નહિ; આ જ સાબિત (અડગ) દીન છે પરંતુ ઘણાખરા લોકો જાણતા નથી.
