سورة البقرة
Al Baqara
آرى، كسانى كه مرتكب گناه شوند و آثار گناه، سراسر وجودشان را بپوشاند، آنها اهل آتشند؛ و جاودانه درآن خواهندبود.
Yea! whoever earns evil and his sins beset him on every side, these are the inmates of the fire; in it they shall abide.
હા, જેણે કોઈ બૂરાઇ હાંસિલ કરી અને તેને તેના ગુનાહોએ ધેરી લીધો, તેઓ જહન્નમવાસીઓ છે,* જેમાં તેઓ હંમેશા રહેશે.
و كسانى كه ايمان آورده، و كارهاى شايسته انجام داده‌اند، آنان اهل بهشتند؛ و جاودانه در آن خواهندبود.
And (as for) those who believe and do good deeds, these are the dwellers of the garden; in it they shall abide.
અને જેઓ ઈમાન લાવ્યા અને નેક આમાલ કર્યા તેઓ જન્નતવાસીઓ છે, જેમાં તેઓ હંમેશા રહેશે.
و [به يادآوريد] زمانى را كه از بنى‌اسرائيل پيمان گرفتيم كه جز خداوند يگانه را پرستش نكنيد؛ و به پدر و مادر و خويشاوندان و يتيمان و مستمندان نيكى كنيد؛ و به مردم سخن نيك بگوييد؛ و نماز را برپا داريد؛ و زكات بپردازيد. سپس [با اين كه پيمان بسته‌بوديد] همه‌ي شما جز عدّه‌ي كمى سرپيچى كرديد و [از وفاى به پيمان خود] روى‌گردان شديد.
And when We made a covenant with the children of Israel: You shall not serve any but Allah and (you shall do) good to (your) parents, and to the near of kin and to the orphans and the needy, and you shall speak to men good words and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate. Then you turned back except a few of you and (now too) you turn aside.
અને જયારે અમોએ બની ઈસરાઈલ પાસેથી વચન લીધું કે તમે અલ્લાહ સિવાય અન્યની ઈબાદત કરશો નહિ, અને વાલેદૈનની સાથે અને સગાવ્હાલાં તથા યતીમો તથા મિસ્કીનોની સાથે નેકી કરતા રહેશો; અને લોકો સાથે સારી વાત કરો અને નમાઝ કાયમ કરો તથા ઝકાત આપતા રહો; ત્યારબાદ તમારામાંના થોડા લોકો સિવાય બધા જ ફરી ગયા, અને તમે લોકો ફરી જનાર જ છો.
و هنگامى را كه از شما پيمان گرفتيم كه خون هم را نريزيد؛ و يكديگر را از سرزمين خود، بيرون نكنيد. سپس شما پذيرفتيد؛ و [بر اين پيمان] گواه بوديد.
And when We made a covenant with you: You shall not shed your blood and you shall not turn your people out of your cities; then you gave a promise while you witnessed.
અને જ્યારે અમોએ તમારી પાસેથી વચન લીધું કે તમે આપસમાં ખૂનરેજી કરશો નહિ, તેમજ તમારામાંથી કોઇને બેવતન કરશો નહિ, પછી તમોએ કબૂલ કર્યુ અને તમે પોતેજ તેના ગવાહ છો.
و شما آنهايى هستيد كه يكديگر را می‌كشيد و جمعى از خودتان را از سرزمينشان بيرون می‌كنيد؛ و در اين گناه و تجاوز، از يكديگر پشتيبانى می‌كنيد؛ [و اين‌ها همه نقض پيمانى است كه با خدا بسته‌ايد] درحالی‌كه اگر بعضى از آنها به صورت اسيران نزد شما آيند، فديه‌ي آنان را مى‌دهيد [و آزادشان مى‌كنيد]؛ با اينكه بيرون‌ساختن آنان بر شما حرام بود. آيا به بعضى از دستورات كتاب خدا ايمان مى‌آوريد، و به بعضى كافر مى‌شويد؟! كيفر كسى از شما كه اين عمل [تبعيض در ميان احكام و قوانين الهى] را انجام دهد، جز رسوايى در اين جهان چيزى نخواهدبود و روز رستاخيز به شديدترين عذاب‌ها گرفتار مى‌شوند. و خداوند از آنچه انجام مى‌دهيد غافل نيست.
Yet you it is who slay your people and turn a party from among you out of their homes, backing each other up against them unlawfully and exceeding the limits; and if they should come to you, as captives you would ransom them-- while their very turning out was unlawful for you. Do you then believe in a part of the Book and disbelieve in the other? What then is the re ward of such among you as do this but disgrace in the life of this world, and on the day of resurrection they shall be sent back to the most grievous chastisement, and Allah is not at all heedless of what you do.
અને તમે એ જ છો કે પોતાનાઓને મારી નાખો છો, તથા અમુક લોકોને બેવતન કરો છો, અને ગુનાહ તથા ઝુલ્મ કરવામાં એક બીજાની મદદ કરો છો; અને જયારે તેમને તમારી સામે કૈદી બનાવીને લાવવામાં આવે છે ત્યારે તમે ફિદયો આપીને તેમને છોડાવો છો, જો કે તેમને બેવતન કરવુ તમારા માટે હરામ હતુ; તો શું તમે કિતાબના અમુક ભાગને માનો છો અને અમુકને માનતા નથી? તમારામાંથી જે કોઈ આવું કરે તેના માટે દુનિયાની ઝિંદગીમાં ઝિલ્લત સિવાય બીજો શું બદલો છે? અને કયામતના દિવસે પણ તેમને ધણા સખત અઝાબ તરફ ફેરવવામાં આવશે; અને તમે જે કાંઈ કરો છો તેનાથી અલ્લાહ ગાફિલ નથી.
آنها كسانى هستند كه زندگى دنيا را با [از دست‌دادن] آخرت خريده‌اند؛ از اين رو از عذاب آنها كاسته نمى‌شود؛ و [به هيچ صورت] يارى نخواهند شد.
These are they who buy the life of this world for the hereafter, so their chastisement shall not be lightened nor shall they be helped.
આ લોકો છે આખેરતના બદલે દુનિયાની ઝિંદગી ખરીદે છે, માટે તેમની સજા હરગિઝ હળવી કરવામાં આવશે નહિ. તેમજ તેમની મદદ પણ કરવામાં આવશે નહિ.
ما به موسى كتاب [تورات] داديم؛ و بعد از او، پيامبرانى پى‌در‌پى فرستاديم؛ و به عيسى‌بن‌مريم دلايل روشن داديم؛ و او را با روح‌القدس تأييد كرديم.آيا چنين نيست كه هر زمان، پيامبرى چيزى برخلاف هواى نفس شما آورد، در برابر او تكبّر كرديد [و از ايمان‌آوردن به او خوددارى نموديد]؛ پس عدّه‌اى را تكذيب كرده و جمعى را به قتل رسانديد؟!
And most certainly We gave Musa the Book and We sent apostles after him one after another; and We gave Isa, the son of Marium, clear arguments and strengthened him with the holy spirit, What! whenever then an apostle came to you with that which your souls did not desire, you were insolent so you called some liars and some you slew.
અને ખચીતજ અમોએ મૂસાને કિતાબ અતા કરી તથા તેના પછી બીજા પયગમ્બરો એક પછી એક મોકલ્યા, અને અમોએ મરિયમના પુત્ર ઈસાને રોશન દલીલ આપી તથા રૂહુલકુદુસ થકી તેની મદદ કરી; શું એવુ નથી કે જ્યારે કોઈ રસૂલ તમારી પાસે તમારી ઈચ્છા વિરૂધ્ધનો હુકમ લઈ આવ્યો ત્યારે તમે તકબ્બૂર કરતા રહ્યા, પછી અમુકને જૂઠા પાડ્યા, અને અમુકને કતલ કરી નાખ્યા?
و [آنها از روى استهزا] گفتند: «دل‌هاى ما در غلاف است؛ [و ما از گفته‌ي تو چيزى نمى‌فهميم»، همين‌طور است]؛ خداوند آنها را به‌خاطر كفرشان، از رحمت خود دور ساخته، و كمتر ايمان مى‌آورند.
And they say: Our hearts are covered. Nay, Allah has cursed them on account of their unbelief; so little it is that they believe.
અને તેઓ કહે છે કે અમારા દિલો પર પડદા છે; એમ નથી બલ્કે અલ્લાહે તેમને તેઓના નાસ્તિકપણાના કારણે લાનત કરી છે, માટે ધણા જ થોડા ઈમાન લાવે છે.
و هنگامى كه از طرف خداوند، كتابى براى آنها آمد كه هماهنگ با نشانه‌ها‌يى بود كه با خود داشتند و پيش از اين، به خود نويد [آمدن اين كتاب و] پيروزى بر كافران را مى‌دادند، با اين همه هنگامى كه اين [كتاب، و پيامبرى] را كه شناخته بودند نزد آنها آمد، به او كافر شدند؛ پس لعنت خدا بركافران باد.
And when there came to them a Book from Allah verifying that which they have, and aforetime they used to pray for victory against those who disbelieve, but when there came to them (Prophet) that which they did not recognize, they disbelieved in him; so Allah's curse is on the unbelievers.
અને જ્યારે તેમની પાસે અલ્લાહની એક કિતાબ આવી કે જે તેમની પાસે છે તેની સચ્ચાઇ સાબિત કરનાર છે, જો કે અગાઉ તેઓ પોતાને (પયગંબરની મદદથી) નાસ્તિકો ઊપર કામ્યાબી હાંસિલ કરવાની ખુશખબરી આપતા હતા, પણ જ્યારે તેમની પાસે તે (પયગમ્બર) આવ્યા ત્યારે ઓળખવા છતાં (જાણી જોઇને) તેનો ઇન્કાર કર્યા માટે અલ્લાહની લાનત થાય નાસ્તિકો પર.
آنها در مقابل بهاى بدى، خود را فروختند؛ كه به آياتى كه خدا فرستاده‌بود، كافر شدند. و از روى حسادت گفتند: چرا خداوند به فضل خويش، بر هر‌كس از بندگانش بخواهد، آيات خود را نازل مى‌كند؟! از اين رو به خشمى بعد از خشمى [از سوى خدا] گرفتار شدند. و براى كافران مجازاتى خواركننده است.
Evil is that for which they have sold their souls-- that they should deny what Allah has revealed, out of envy that Allah should send down of His grace on whomsoever of His servants He pleases; so they have made themselves deserving of wrath upon wrath, and there is a disgraceful punishment for the unbelievers.
પોતાની જાતને કેટલી ખરાબ કિંમતે વહેંચ્યા કે હસદને કારણે અલ્લાહે નાઝિલ કરેલ (આયતો)નો ઇન્કાર કર્યો (કહયુ કે) શા માટે અલ્લાહ પોતાના ફઝલથી જેના ઊપર ચાહે છે નાઝિલ કરે છે પછી અલ્લાહના ગઝબ ઊપર ગઝબમાં ગિરફતાર થયા, નાસ્તિકો માટે ઝિલ્લતભર્યો અઝાબ છે.
